Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted November 27, 2002 Its time for Part II of the WWF From May 1995! - MAY 1995 COMPILATION TAPE PART II: - WWF Monday Night Raw: (5/8/95) - Tape starts off with highlights of Sid attacking Razor Ramon before their scheduled match on the 5/1/95 Monday Night Raw. - Highlights of Jeff Jarrett re-winning the Intercontinental Championship from Bob Holly on the 5/7/95 edition of The Action Zone. - Jeff Jarrett (WWF IC Champion-w/ Roadie) Vs. Doink The Clown (w/ Dink): Jeff Jarrett: Became the 1st ever 5x WWF Intercontinental Champion. Dubbed the Chosen one in WCW, and is partial owner of NWA:TNA. Downfall: Lost to Chyna in his last WWF match and beat up women. Doink The Clown: Was a bad ass heel during his first days when Matt Borne was Doink. Downfall: Face Turn, Dink was his manager. This was one of Doinks last major appearance of note in WWF, as he was being played by a 4th different person by now. WWF reminisces about Jeff Jarrett dressing as Doink on the Kings Court, where he smashed a pie in Dinks face, over a year ago from this show, meaning they brought up old history to put a match together on MNR. Doink attacks from behind with rights and a clothesline. Doink with a shoulder tackle, and he nails Roadie, and applies an arm-bar to Jarrett. Doink prevents cheating by the heels by kicking Roadies hand. Jarrett with a drop toe hold, but Doink back to an arm ringer and follows with a hip toss. Jarrett gets the boots up on Doink in the corner, but Doink nails Roadie and school boys Jarrett for 2. Jarrett sends Doink face first into the mat when he goes for a back drop and Double J with a back elbow and clothesline. Doink in the buckle drives the boot in Jarretts face but misses an elbow drop, and Jarrett with an Irish whip, which is turned into a sunset flip by Doink for 2. Jarrett with a snapmare and headlock. [Commercial Break] Doink is still down on the mat, and Jarrett with a form of an ankle lock. Doink goes for an enziguri but misses, which is the first time in a while I've seen that. Half crab by Jarrett as Vince mentions Bob Backlund having a BIG announcement next week. UH-OH. Doink is back to his feet but Jarrett with a sleeper hold immediately afterwards. Doink breaks free and plants Jarrett with a beautiful DDT. Doink with a powerslam for 2. Doink whips Jarrett back and forth, and Dink bites Double J's BUTT. Roadie nails Doink in the knee ALA from Royal Rumble 1995, and Jarrett applies the figure four for the submission win at 6:55. *1/4 Winner: Jeff Jarrett via Submission. Match Comments: The whole match Vince Mcmahon & Jerry Lawler discuss The Roadie and wonder if he can wrestle as well as he says. Doink of course was reduced to jobber status here, even though he was still quite popular, but not enough to give him any kind of a push, so they threw him at Jarrett to put Double J & Roadie over as cheaters who were great at teaming up (illegally). - Body Donnas (skip & Sunny) Vignette. Basically them talking to a Television monitor from some weightlifting gym, making fun of fat overweight people. - Bam Bam Bigelow does all the goody two-shoes stuff about apologizing to LT because of shoving him, which he did because of his embarrassment of losing to The 1-2-3 Kid, and being laughed at by the crowd. Brings up WM XI, and calls LT one of the best athletes he's met in his life. Bam Bam kisses Diesel's BUTT too, then talks about his future. - Sid Promo, which was dubbed (partially) into his WWF The Music Vol. 2 theme song. Diesel rebuts with his own comments. - Vince McMahon introduces Sid & Ted Dibiase for an interview. Dibiase brings up Shawn Michaels, and brings up about himself mentioning to Shawn to need a bodyguard, and how Dibiase brings up how he said it should be Sid. Dibiase then makes fun for Sid kicking HBK's BUTT on 4/3 Raw, then brings up Razor "Greaseball" Ramon, from the week before. Sid rambles about some Lion and makes scary faces. In WWF he is the super predator, he is the master, and at In Your House, he says he will lift Diesel 10 feet in the air and drive him through the mat. - In Your House Report: Live; May 14, 1995: -WWF Championship Match: Diesel © Vs. Sid Diesel says he will take out Sid at IYH - Bret "Hitman" Hart Vs. Hakushi - Bret "Hitman" Hart Vs. Jerry "The King Lawler - Razor Ramon Vs. Jeff Jarrett & The Roadie - WWF Tag Team Title Match: Yokozuna & Owen Hart © Vs. Smoking Gunns - King of the Ring Qualifying Match: Mabel Vs. Adam Bomb - Owen Hart (w/ Mr. Fuji & Jim Cornette) Vs. Bart Gunn (w/ Billy Gunn): Owen Hart: Former WWF Intercontinental, European & Tag Team Champion. 1994 King of the Ring winner. 2 time Slammy Award Winner. Downfall: Died while performing a superhero stunt at Over the Edge 1999. Bart Gunn: Former (3x) WWF Tag Team Champion, Brawl for all Winner. Downfall: Member of the NEW Midnight Express, got knocked out by Butterbean in 30 seconds. This is the traditional tag team partner vs. tag team partner before a pay per view match between both teams Gunn with a reverse drop toe hold for 2. Owen with a side hammerlock but is thrown outside by his own momentum.Owen pearl harbor attacks Bart and lays it into him. Bart to the top rope with a cross body press for 2. Bart with a wrist lock and drives the knee into the padded left elbow of Owen. Bart works the arm some more and slams Owen hard and drops the elbow, covering for 2. Owen elbows Bart in the mouth and walks into a spinning side walk slam. Gunn off the ropes and Fuji trips him up. Owen knocks Gunn to the floor and rams his back into the ring post. Owen chokes away and poses to boos. Necbreaker by Hart gets 2, Gunn follows with a sunset flip for 2, but eats enziguri for 2 by Owen. [Commercial Break] Owen whips Gunn to the ropes and drives the knee into the mid-section and stomps his midsection. European uppercuts by Owen but he walks into a boot, but comes back with a clothesline for 2. Gunn places Owen on the top turnbuckle, and scores a.....Owen throws him off and gets tripped up by Billy himself! Both men are down, and Bart up, and school boys Owen for.....3?! (6:15) ** This pretty much means the champions will win. Winner: Bart Gunn via pinfall. Match Comments: Like I said, a traditional Tag member vs. Tag member, but usually they end up in double count-out or DQs because of partner interference. Putting anyone over in this match meant that whoever lost will win at the big match, unless your name is HHH in the year 2002. - This past Saturday on MANIA, Todd Pettingle & Stephanie Wyand tour the house the WWF will give away at In Your House. - Footage from last week where Bret Hart accepts Jerry Lawlers challenge for a 2nd match at In Your House. - WWF Action Zone (5/14/95): - Commercial featuring the Sid/Diesel rivalry, with highlights of Sid killing people with the powerbomb. - In Your House Report: Live; TONIGHT! (May 14, 1995): -WWF Championship Match: Diesel © Vs. Sid - Bret "Hitman" Hart Vs. Hakushi - Bret "Hitman" Hart Vs. Jerry "The King Lawler - Razor Ramon Vs. Jeff Jarrett & The Roadie - WWF Tag Team Title Match: Yokozuna & Owen Hart © Vs. Smoking Gunns - King of the Ring Qualifying Match: Mabel Vs. Adam Bomb - Body Donnas (Skip & Sunny) Vignette. - Barry whatever has an In Your House shirt with Diesel & Sid on the front for only $16.00. Call 1-800-840-199! He also has a Bret Hart t-shirt for $19.95! - Ray Rogeau interview with WWF Champion, Big Daddy Cool Diesel. Diesel kisses Shawn Michaels ass about bringing him into the WWF, and that Shawn was the only one who believed in him. Footage of the Sid/HBK incident is shown and Side comes out for a stare down with Diesel. Diesel challenges Sid to come in the ring and attack him from behind, like he's done everyone else. This dragged a little too much. Sid walks off before anything can happen. - Highlights of Bam Bam Bigelows face turn from 4/24/95 RAW, where Diesel saved him from Sid, and other members of the corporation. Not the Mcmahon Corporation for all you idiots out there. - Footage of the In Your House letter entries being brought to the arena via armored truck. - Bob Backlund speaks with people on the beach about stuff. - The Allied Powers Vs. Men on a Mission: Lex Luger: Main Evented Several PPVs in 1993 and was given the Hulk Hogan push Downfall: Went from contending for World Title at Wrestlemania X to curtain jerking Wrestlemania XI in a tag team match. Davey Boy Smith: Headlined 3 WWF PPV's in 1995, a former Intercontinental, European, Tag Team, and Hardcore Champion. Downfall: Went to WCW where he broke his back on a trap door placed in the ring. Mabel: 1995 King of the Ring, WWF tag Team Champion by being to fat to get off Pierre. Downfall: Most forgetable WWF KOTR winner. Mo: Former WWF Tag Team Champion. Downfall: Became known as Sir Mo. For those who don't know, Men on a Mission recently turned heel against the Smoking Gunns and their manager, Oscar (because Oscar wasn't interested in managing them as heels). Safe bet says they win to establish themselves against 2 top upper-midcard superstars. Bulldog starts a USA chant even though he has hailed from England & Canada (kinda). Luger & Mo start...but Mabel tags in already. Luger tries a shoulder-block but nothing happens. Kick and armbar by Luger, and Bulldog with a chop to the arm. Double Shoulder-block does nothing either, but a double diving one does knock down Mabel, and Mo gets thrown out of the ring. JR makes fun of Todd for being from UPSTATE New York. Bulldog officially in now and so is Mo. Mo with some minor offensive maneuvers but Bulldog stall suplexes him for 2. Mabel in, and Bulldog goes for a crucifix, and, of course, Mabel squashes him. Mabel steps on Bulldog a lot after that. Choking by MOM and Mo in, with elbows and kicks to the back for 2. Double Teaming galore, and Mabel with a clothesline for 2. Reverse chinlock by Mabel, but Bulldog fights up, with Mabel on his back, and holds him on his shoulders standing up!!!! Bulldog drops Mabel backwards to the mat hard and both men are down. Crowd popped nicely for that one. [Commercial Break] Mo covers Bulldog for a 2 count off of something not shown, and Luger didn't get the tag. Suplex by Mo gets another 2. Mabel in, and a double clothesline puts them both down again. Luger & Mo tag in and Luger unloads, and nails a running knee lift and clothesline for 2, and Mabel breaks it up. Bulldog fights with Mabel and knocks him outside. Bulldog is pulled out and eats stairs. Luger with a powerslam, but Mabel comes in to break the torture rack and the referee DISQUALIFIES them at 10:12 for interfering TOO Much. When was the last time we have seen THAT call? Mabel splashes Luger after the bell. Match was about *1/2, meaning it was decent but nothing good. Winners: The Allied Powers by DQ Match Comments: Well I lost that bet, but that was a very weak DQ finish to keep MOM over enough, even though they weren't that over in the first place when they turned heel. Allied Powers were given a good push but nothing ever came out of it and Lex Luger would eventually leave WWF as a result, since he was promised a WWF Title run which never occured. - Final shots of some police unloading the millions....and millions of fans letters sent in to win the House that WWF is giving away. Overall, this portion of the tape really isn't too bad, but there's not a lot of wreslting on it, considering it was 70 or so minutes of footage. Part III out thursday or friday. Guest kingkamala Report post Posted November 27, 2002 I'm digging the new review style, it still has a few kinks to work out but overall kudos to you NWO Scorpion.
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted November 27, 2002 I'm still thinking about changing my rating style, but im not sure it would be too popular since everyone is use to the star ratings system.
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted November 27, 2002 I think star ratings are fine. When it comes to changing one's stlye of writing, that has very little to do with star ratings. More like format, tone, etc.
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted November 27, 2002 Speaking of the first In Your House....I knew (and still know) the kid who won the house.
Guest kingkamala Report post Posted November 27, 2002 WOW! Nevermortal what's he like, does he go around bragging on how he was on a WWF PPV in 95 that was watched by probably 20 people?
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted November 27, 2002 Technically only his voice was on, lol, and I was 1 of the dozens.....and dozens, of people who ordered IYH
Guest kingkamala Report post Posted November 27, 2002 I have IYH 1 on tape....with Coliseum Exclusives! Man I was pumped when I first got the tape and heard there were bonus matches. Then I ran in terror when I heard the bonus matches were Kama/Undertaker and a face Bam Bam Bigalow Vs a Heel Tatanka. Still IYH 1 has a rockin' Hakushi-Bret Hart match and decent enough Owen Hart and Yokozuna/Smoking Gunns and Razor Ramon/Jeff Jarrett and the Roadie matches. I'm gonna do a rant on IYH 1 probably after I finish my rant on Crockett Cup 88.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted November 27, 2002 Normally I never talk to Nevermortal because of his unjust Regal hate but I have to ask- What's the house like?
