WWE "News/Rumors"

The general feeling is that if WWE is impressed enough with Ernest Miller's job as color commentator this week on Smackdown, he will get the color spot on Velocity and replace Michael Cole who is working the show only because WWE has nobody else to do it.

Torrie Wilson has changed her diet in order to not have such a muscular appearance.

Many people backstage in WWE were upset at comments Jerry Lawler made this past Monday on RAW. Lawler talked about Maven's mother who suffered from cancer and how Maven used her for attention. Most thought the comments were out of line, especially considering how many WWE employees have friends or family battling cancer.

At Smackdown yesterday, many of the wrestlers talked about how bad a show RAW has become. The feeling is that RAW has a glass ceiling which has hurt morale.

Everyone seems to feel that Steve Austin's return is imminent. Most feel that WWE was just waiting for Austin to handle his legal problems which have now been resolved.

Many in WWE are growing more concerned with the World Wildlife Fund and their constant battles over the "WWF" initials. They are becoming a serious threat to WWE's business.

That last part cracks me up. World Wildlife Fund is SUPPOSSED to be a CHARITY organization, yet they keep pestering WWE for more and more money, claiming "damages".

Money they could better use to rescue a beached whale.

My point exactly, They are wasting all thses charitable donations on legal fees when they could be rescuing a possum from a tree or something.

The "serious threat" is from within.

Like Big Show?

I never got how people were supposed to get confused between the two WWF's anyway. How many people have mistakenly donated to Vince when they really wanted to save a monkey, I wonder.

That's depressing.

Torrie Wilson has changed her diet in order to not have such a muscular appearance.

Was she "encouraged" to do this? If so, that's sickening.

Most thought the comments were out of line, especially considering how many WWE employees have friends or family battling cancer.

Good on them. Why does Lawler even have a job at this point? He's totally outlived his usefulness; that should be apparent to all by now.

At Smackdown yesterday, many of the wrestlers talked about how bad a show RAW has become. The feeling is that RAW has a glass ceiling which has hurt morale.

DuHHH. One reason I hope they never cancel the roster split. The SmackDown Six deserve better than that.

Everyone seems to feel that Steve Austin's return is imminent. Most feel that WWE was just waiting for Austin to handle his legal problems which have now been resolved.

I expect him back by the Royal Rumble, and out again shortly after WrestleMania once he sees how much worse the writing has become in his absence.

Many in WWE are growing more concerned with the World Wildlife Fund and their constant battles over the "WWF" initials. They are becoming a serious threat to WWE's business.

I can't possibly see how. What are they going to do, claim the E looks enough like an F that there's still "confusion in the marketplace?" Enough already.

I think the last time I was confused by the WWF initials, I was about 8 years old, and saw a bumper sticker that said, "W.W.F." with a picture of a panda bear, and I asked my dad what wrestling had to do with a Panda bear, and he explained it to me, and I have been confused since. It is simple as that, this lawsuit is stupid and I can't believe the Wildlife fund actually won a day in court over that bullshit.

Torrie in a short time will look like Terri if she goes on this diet. Way to go WWE!

Okay, so the WWF changed it's initials to the WWE to please the World Wildlife Fund. Yet, they're still on the WWE's case. Get over it already.

Well it's good to hear that Ernest Miller did good at announcing. The announcing team needs some new blood to add life to it.

I hope the World Wildlife Foundation gives Vince headaches forever. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy. The WWF is like any other corporation they have money set aside for their legal team so the "why don't they use the donations for the animals" stuff isn't a real argument.

Good. Cole was being overworked anyways. Now, he can concentrate on Smackdown where he and Tazz are making the best team since Heyman got kicked out of the booth.

Torrie Wilson has changed her diet in order to not have such a muscular appearance.

Why? That's what makes her appealing in the first place.

Lawler used to be good once. Hopefully this gets him back on track.

At Smackdown yesterday, many of the wrestlers talked about how bad a show RAW has become. The feeling is that RAW has a glass ceiling which has hurt morale.

Right now the split is the only thing keeping the company afloat.

Everyone seems to feel that Steve Austin's return is imminent. Most feel that WWE was just waiting for Austin to handle his legal problems which have now been resolved.

As expected. For God sakes, keep him and HHH seperated, or else Austin will be gone by Wrestlemania.

Many in WWE are growing more concerned with the World Wildlife Fund and their constant battles over the "WWF" initials. They are becoming a serious threat to WWE's business.

They only wanted a payoff from Vince to begin with. Yes, Vince was in the wrong, and that's why he had to change the name of his company. Why didn't they just sue for the damages to begin with? I am mad at Vince right now, but he is in the right this time.

Didn't Torrie battle Bulimia (sp?) when she was younger? I could swear on "Confidential" she said that is why she changed her diet to work with weights and to add muscle so she eats right.

I'm surprised the WWE would want her to lose the little bit of muscle she has since she wrestles, if that's what you want to call it, sometimes.

Yes, Torrie said on Confidential that she was bulemic for years.

In fact, this was during the "Molly has a fat ass" angle on RAW. Gotta love WWE......

Wasn't the original case eventually brought down to "Either change the initials or pay us a shitload of cash"? And now they're suing again?

I can see the case now...

WWF Rep: Your honor, we gave Vince McMahon an ultimatum - by (DATE), he would either have to rename The World Wrestling Federation, or pay us damages in the amount of 18 bazillion dollars.

Judge: ... and he changed the name of the company. What's the problem?

WWF Rep: We didn't think he'd actually do it.

Judge: ... so... what are you after now?

WWF Rep: Just money.

Maybe they asked Torrie to put on a few pounds? All it says is "changed her diet", it didn't say anything about her *going on* a diet.

Highly unlikely, I know, but it's a possibility.

Vince asking a "Diva" to gain weight?

Muahahahaha Vince would never suggest that one of his "Divas" change their diet to gain weight.

I don't even see what the big deal is, Torrie isn't even that muscular she's just in shape. What the hell do they want from her.

Aside from the damages WWF is pursuing, that decision is a real headache for Vince, for reasons that only involve "the pandas" indirectly.

THQ has a huge back catalogue of wrestling games. They have to have their names/logos/titles screens changed to WWE. That's a huge cost. THQ is wondering who pays the tab on that one, since they licensed a name in good faith. So their lawyers go to work.

I imagine this whole thing is causing massive headaches in all aspects of WWE life, from archival footage to the home video market to friggin t-shirts.

Vince should have just dumped a ton of money on WWF to buy the name outright. Probably would have been cheaper in the long run.

Oh, and once again, I place 100% of the blame on Vince, and 0% on the pandas. He broke a deal. He was dragged in to court so often he probably thought he was invincible. Have a healthy slice of crow courtesy of the World Wildlife Fund, Vinnie.

What from that report is so hard to believe?

Morale is low on Raw? Lawler stuck his foot in his mouth again? Vince is having problems with the WWF?
