Cobainwasmurdered's Wrestlemania Bonanza!

Recommended Posts

Guest cobainwasmurdered

Alright I am Cobinwasmurdered (duh) and these are my predictions and yes I know they're shitty but they're mine all mine!

Rob Van Dam Vs. William Regal(Ic Champion)

RVD is going over, expect a huge contrast of styles. Regal will work the ribs but to no avail when rob nails the ***** star frog splash. I see Edge Showing up and punking RVD because RVD beat the man Edge couldn't.

Kane Vs. Angle

Get Anglesault some tissues because Kane's winning. It' time for the big red machine's yearly push. ANgle works the leg, Kane forgets the injury and Chokeslams his way to victory in a decent match.

Edge Vs. Booker T (possible)

If this happens it has sleeper written all over it, They can both go and i'm seeing booker to stop being a JTTS for once and pick up the win sending Edge off the deep end and sparking his aforementioned assualt on RVD.

Flair Vs. Undertaker

Flair can get a ***** match out of a broom stick but not Undertaker, run ins galore with vince giving Undertaker the win to continue the streak.

Austin Vs. Hall

Logic would dictate that Hall goes over to build the nWo as strong heels so in other words Austins going over. Match will be decent but nothing to write home about.

Hogan Vs. Rock

They've been going over this mtch for weeks and we could be suprised and they could produce a great match...NAH, nWo interference means Hogan picks up the cheap win. (Whoa it's like reading an old Nitro recap.)

HHH Vs. Jericho(Undisputed Champ)

HHH will have shaken the majority of the ring rust but don't expect another classic like their last man standing match. I'm seeing Hunter goin over, because Stephanie helps him in an attempt to prove that he needs her in order to win.

There'll be a tag team match of some kind so expect some wacky gay hijinks and Billy and Chucky To Retain.

"I see Edge Showing up and punking RVD because RVD beat the man Edge couldn't."

I agree. i predicted the same thing on a previous thread. But this match could be really good if they both let each other work a stiff style.

I disagree with Kane-Angle. I initially leaned towards a Kane win but I think Angle uses a chairshot to get the win.

If it happens, Edge doesn't lose in his hometown.

flair-Taker should have been Flair-Angle so I don't care about this match. If David turns on his father, then the WWF has two years to live.

Hall-Austin can go in two extreme paths. If it's a wild brawl with bladejobs and stiff shots then it could be entertaining. If Austin phones it in, this will be dreadful.

Rock-Hogan- I don't care.

Trips-Steph. If Trips moves as slow as he did in that cage then this will suck. I think we will see 7 ref bumps, 14 foreign objects, 2 run ins and a swerve.

"You better have knocked on wood when you typed that!"

Think about it. The WWF is making WCW level mistakes. It was early '99 when David SWERVED father Flair and WCW didn't exist two years later. I don't want it to be true but if you don't learn from history you are condemmed....

....to repeat it. damn you for being logical! This Pay Per View has enough problems what with the rumors of the Ultimate Warrior making his "triumphant" return.

My predictions.. probably won't be much different:

RVD defeats Regal - obviously what they're building towards.  RVD has been getting a push while Regal has been made to look bad and even lost to Big Show cleanly.

Angle defeats Kane - I see Angle winning clean and moving up on the card after this, probably going past Jericho as the #1 non-NWO heel.  I'm starting to get a feeling that the WWF is not quite satisfied with Jericho's heat.  It's good but not great.

Edge defeats Booker T - It's Edge's hometown. Let's just be thankful he won't be winning the IC title.  Booker T turns face on Raw the next night.

Chuck and Billy retain - Whoever gets involved in the tag title match, Chuck and Billy will retain.

Undertaker defeats Ric Flair - Only way Flair can win is by massive screwjob.  Maybe by interference from David.  Otherwise it would hurt Taker's credibility too much.

Steve Austin defeats Scott Hall - It could go either way really, but I think of it this way.  Austin despite his early reluctance, has been a real sport about this feud, and has taken many beatdowns from the NWO, even cutting himself open on Raw.  I have to wonder if he'd be so cooperative if he hasn't been promised the win over Hall.  Or maybe I'm listening to the sheets too much.  Hall beating Austin would be pretty shocking, and would really give the NWO a boost.  I would like that result but I don't see it happening.

Hollywood Hogan defeats The Rock - No way the NWO can lose both matches in what are essentially their WWF debut matches.  A case could be made that it would be correct for them to win both.  But one thing I'm sure of is that Hogan beats Rock.  Screwjob win of course, but Hogan should go over, he is the main draw of the NWO and shouldn't lose his first match.  Also, it is key for Rock to NOT win in order to set up the rematch.  Rock/Hogan could very easily headline another PPV unless the match is a total flop.  I think the outcomes in order of likelyhood are:  1) Hogan wins, 2) DQ/no contest, 3) Rock wins.

HHH defeats Chris Jericho - I can't forsee Jericho retaining the title here.  To warrant it, he would have to be getting simply huge heel reactions, and he isn't.  Yes, part of that is the WWF's fault, but there's nothing we can do about that now.  HHH wins the title, completing his dramatic comeback from injury.  If he goes NWO, it won't be until Raw the next night.  I see Wrestlemania ending on a happy note this year.  Three years in a row of heel turns in the main event would be a little excessive.

Actually, my initial bitterness has fallen by the wayside. It really depends on which patht the WWF wants to take. Will it take the WM14 path where there was minimal screwiness although some of the matches fell flat or WM15 where everyone and their mother interfered (wait that was WM2000)?

Look at the matchups. Each one can be done two ways:

RVD-Regal

1. They don't work stiff, botch spots and expose brass knucks with little heat-bad

2. They potato the fuck out of each other and Regal cheats like a mother while Rob just comes up with freaky shit, hitting on all cylinders.- good

Austin-Hall

1. Austin is mad he's working the midcard so he acts like Hall is M.r Perfect. They no sell each other's moves or Scott Hall shows up drunk- bad

2. They both decide to blade, smash shit over each others heads and Austin carries Hall to a very watchable match-good

Flair-Taker

1. Taker is a broomstick -good

2. Flair is Kronik -bad

Hogan-Rock

1. Rock is Sting circa 97 Starrcade, 15 NWO members run in -bad

2. They rehearse the fuck out of this match, with Rock controlling the tempo, and Hogan only allowed one bearhug after injuring Rock's ribs (psychology). Minimal NWO interference, barred from ringside, etc. -good

Trips-Jericho

1. Overbooked City- bad

2. They play the Last Man Standing Match and the Phantom Title Switch on the JumboTron -good

I'm going to do this a little differently.

Jazz vs. Trish (seems to be a lock)

Who should win:  Jazz.  (I'd like to see a dominant champion...she should go on to feud with Jackie)

Who I want to win:  Jazz.

Who will win:  Trish (It IS her hometown)

Booker T vs. Edge

Who Should Win:  Booker T (It would be nice to see someone get a midcard push NOT named Edge)

Who I want to win:  Booker T

Who will win:   Edge (It IS his hometown)

Chuck A Billy vs. ? (likely to be Hardys vs. APA vs. Dudleys)

Who Should Win:  Chuck A Billy (But then what?)

Who I want to win:  Chuck A Billy

Who will win:  Chuck A Billy

RVD vs. Regal

Who Should Win:  RVD

Who I want to win:  RVD

Who will win:  RVD  (no explanations needed)

Kane vs. Angle

Who Should Win:  Kurt Angle (as a reward for A.  Being more over, B.  Being the best wrestler in the WWF, C. Having to fight someone below him)

Who I want to win:  Kurt Angle

Who will win: Kane

Undertaker vs. Ric Flair

Who Should Win:  Undertaker (he DOES wrestle regularly...)

Who I want to win:  Ric Flair (I'd like to see him have a WrestleMania win on his resume)

Who will win:  Undertaker

Steve Austin vs. Scott Hall

Who Should Win:  Scott Hall (beating Austin gives more creadability than beating Rock...evryone beats Rock)

Who I want to win:  Scott Hall  (For purposes later in the card)

Who will win:  Steve Austin

Rock vs. Hulk Hogan

Who Should Win:  Rock (It makes little sense for the biggest star of the 80's to beat the biggest star of the current decade)

Who I want to win:  Rock

Who will win:  Hulk Hogan

Chris Jericho vs. HHH

Who Should Win:  Chris Jericho  (He's flat out better than HHH is right now.  HHH isn't ready to be the champ again yet)

Who I want to win:  Chris Jericho

Who will win:  HHH

People I'd like to see on the card:

Storm, Val Venis, Tajiri, Hurricane, DDP, Saturn, Tazz, X-Pac, Christian, Perfect

People who should stay FAR away...but will end up on the card instead of the above listed:

Mave, Goldust, Godfather, Bossman, Rikishi, Test, Albert, Big Show, Scotty 2 Hotty, Spike Dudley
