Guest Jobber of the Week Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 Looked at the touring Calendar and saw that *gasp* They're bringing another House Show this way. And, at last, we get SmackDown. Granted, this is still months away, and I don't know why I'm even doing it since I'll be going to WrestleMania a couple months afterwards. I'm guessing this will be a far more intimate show while WM will be total spectacle. In fact, I'd bet my life on it. =b Anyway, House Show tickets are running $15-$40 for most the others, but as we all know by now attendance is stinking and entire decks closed off is not unusual. So, I guess the question is, should I buy cheapo tickets? Would buying more expensive stuff be throwing my money down the drain? I've heard one or two stories of people buying cheapo tickets and being given a much nicer seat so they can close off the nosebleed section, but I'm not exactly how true or not that would be. If anyone has any experience with this kind of thing, I'm curious what I ought to go for (I was leaning for the $20ish or $30ish tickets prior to now.) On one hand, it sucks to spend so much money on my own entertainment during the Xmas months, but at the same time I don't want to be so cheap that out of the few handfuls of people there I'm sitting alone way up in the rafters.
Paul Stanley Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 If 1-4th row ringside isn't available, get cheap tickets.. 5th row and beyond is hell because they will stand up on the chairs. If the arena is small, a cheap seat is guaranteed a good view.
Guest CanadianChris Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 I'd say any seat in the arena proper (not on the floor) is going to be good. I've been to two events, and the second time was MUCH better, due to the fact we got seats in the lower bowl (facing the TitanTron), as opposed to seats on the floor in the seventh row. Couldn't see a damn thing when things were happening.
Guest kingkamala Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 I got seventh row seats the last time that WWE came to town and I could see fine, although it helped I had seven year olds sitting in front of me

Plus, he had a horrible sign that he ALWAYS had in the air, even when the ameras weren't rolling.

Guest Ram Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 Well, if it's a house show, I doubt they'll worry about what the camera sees. I'd just play it safe, if I were you.
Guest HartFan86 Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 I've gotten ringside a lot of times. The best was in July at a house show, I was around 5 rows back and could see fine. It's basically how you want to sit. If you want to just go, get the cheapest seats available. If you want to have really good seats, put the money down. Personally, I'd save your money on Mania. You'll benefit a lot more from getting awesome seats there as opposed to some throwaway house show.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 The last WWE event I went to was a house show in Red Deer this past May. Anyways, I was in the 5th row from the ring, and they only cost me $55. Then again, it was a house show, so that's the reasoning for the low cost. I could see fine, except for when everyone stood up when the wrestlers came out. If I were in your case, I'd save up to go to Wrestlemania 19, and get good seats for that.
Guest bob_barron Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 I've sat ringside and it wasn't that bad- I could see fine. At MSG where I usually see WWE- any seat is a good seat pretty much

I don't have any clue what the different price levels are for Mania, but I'm going to guess they're quite a bit more expensive. My Dad is taking care of that one, I'm doing this entirely out of my own pocket (and since I make crap for money, the difference between $20 and $30 stands out) as something to do for myself and my Mom (who likes wrestling and is an Angle/Guererro mark )

Guest Jobber of the Week Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Cause your in the frikkin Garden the place where dreams were made.....and HHH made his return*sigh* Well, if "Dreams" means Hogan winning the title for four goddamned years or Brock's streak was spent on Big Show, then yes.
Guest kingkamala Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Well, if "Dreams" means Hogan winning the title for four goddamned years or Brock's streak was spent on Big Show, then yes. I guess your right about Brock getting beat by Show but without Hogan winning the title, we wouldn't have a lot of things. Wrestling would be a hell of a lot weirder. Good moment? Maybe not.... historic? Hell yeah. In those four years Hogan drew sell out houses from Portland to Puerto Ri....(oh wait not Puerto Rico)..... from Baltimore to Bangkhok
