ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2002 Last night's Smackdown telecast scored a 3.6 rating. Although that is pretty much what Smackdown has been averaging as of late, it's actually a tremendous score. Being that last night was Thanksgiving, ratings were not expected to be good. In fact, many did not expect Smackdown to surpass a 3.0 rating. Scoring an average rating on a holiday is very good for WWE. This basically shows that Smackdown currently has a very strong fanbase, not in numbers but in dedication and loyalty. Although that could change if Smackdown starts to deteriorate, it certainly is comforting to know that the show currently has enough loyal viewers to get a 3.6 on Thanksgiving. That's the OVERNIGHT rating, which is a good deal higher than what the final rating will be. The 3.6 was the second lowest overnight rating of the year for Smackdown. Only July 4 was worse. Guest SP-1 Report post Posted November 30, 2002 Actually, Benoit/Angle/Eddy/Chavo had quite a bit of screen time. Their match lasted two segments. More than Brock/Show, I'd venture a guess. Finishing 4th for the night beating ABC and WB is still pretty good. Yes, I read the whole thread. I must of missed your screaming of Prowrestling.com.
