Guest ElectricRaccoon Report post Posted November 30, 2002 Any other hopeless coffee fiends around? What do you take in it? I usually go for black, unless my stomach's really torched, then I'll put soy milk in it (as bad as it sounds, I actually like it more than real milk). As for where I get it, being a good Canadian, it's all about Tim Horton's. Even now that they're owned by an American company, there's still the whole iconic quality, plus there's one everywhere. Also, an extra large there is still only $1.50, something that you see less and less these days. Thanks to my school being full of hippie pinko communists, there's even soy milk at the coffee fixin's stand.
Guest gthureson Report post Posted November 30, 2002 I never drank coffee until I did some time in jail and they didn't really give you alot of options as to what you go to drink. Since then, I've gotten unrepentent in my coffee drinking, and probably drink 10 cups a day or so. Usually black. Sometimes with some sugar. Either make my own at home from instant (it has that bite to it that ground doesn't have), or grab Horton's. Second Cup can be decent. Starbucks licks monkey's balls. Guest Phr33k Report post Posted November 30, 2002 Tim Horton's for me too. Good old Canadian java.
Guest ElectricRaccoon Report post Posted November 30, 2002 Good to see some Canadian content. I was just saying how we really don't represent enough. And yes, Starbucks is truly insidious and vile. Even their coffee that doesn't have whippy crap and sprinkles all over it is like three bucks. That's just wrong. One thing I miss is the 25-cent coffee at Jug City (now Harry's Mart) in my hometown. This had been going since the store first opened like 15 years ago. That was like an institution in my highschool, the coffee (and never-IDed-for smokes) on the way in, and now it's like a buck. The coffee's still terrible, though, so at least part of the tradition remains intact.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted December 1, 2002 I can only stomach Dunkin Donuts coffee. Very dark with milk, no sugar. Usually flavored, if they have it. Hazelnut rocks.
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted December 1, 2002 I need milk and sugar to stomach a cup of coffee, but I only drink a cup once in a while. I usually prefer juice in the morning.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted December 2, 2002 I detest coffee. All it does is make me have to piss all day.

Guest LooseCannon Report post Posted December 3, 2002 I get my coffee from local coffee shops that most of you have probably never heard of or I make it at home with gourmet beans. I drink probably two pots of coffee a day, or around 16 cups, always alway always black. As a sidenote, I once bought some Zapatista coffee beans from this indian guy who was speaking on campus. That was probably the best coffee I've ever had, though it was pretty expensive.
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted December 4, 2002 I never drank coffee until I did some time in jail and they didn't really give you alot of options as to what you go to drink. I don't like coffee, but I'd love to hear more about that.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted December 4, 2002 My dad doesn't drink coffee, and I think he's passed that down to me. I've never been able to stand the stuff, and can't understand it's appeal. Is it just the caffeine?

Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted December 4, 2002 The Tim Hortons near Wendy's blow ass. I mean coffee isn't bad, but their Cafe Mocha is horrible. Coffee needs double cream for me.
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted December 4, 2002 I totally dislike coffee. I much prefer tea, but every time I drink tea I either get a cold/flu, so I guess drinking it might not be a bright idea.
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted December 4, 2002 I'm trying to cut down on coffee and drink tea more but if I do have coffee, it's two milks, two sugars from ~Tim Hortons~.

Guest Ace309 Report post Posted December 4, 2002 I'm a coffee addict. Two cups black from my home maker, one with cream and sugar from the stand on campus (their coffee sucks and you have to cover for it) and then usually a green tea from either the stand or Starbucks (which I try to avoid). Guest LooseCannon Report post Posted December 6, 2002 I find the idea of putting cream or sugar in coffee to be completely evil. I don't know, I'm usually a tolerant guy, but when I hear about people adulterating their coffee in this way... well, I generally end up clenching my fists in impotent rage. Guest Ace309 Report post Posted December 6, 2002 LooseCannon, there comes a point where you need to drink coffee that sucks. It's unavoidable. For example, when the only available coffee is from Starbucks, you need to mask the flavour, so it becomes a necessary evil.

Also, revealing the fact that I was secretly ALSO El Hijo del Homsar (although me saying all the exact same stuff and making far too many Achewood references more or less gave that away anyway) and was too lazy to request a name change, black coffee and dark rum is the best mixed drink around, next to Caesars. (EDIT: Could "Caesar" have a less intuitive spelling?)
