BT, I'm glad you will be doing non-puro reviews for the time being. Personally, I dig regional stuff, so I'm looking forward to which ever tape you do next.

I have one of those matches, Lawler-Kamala. It was on the "King Kong Bundy: The Missing Matches" tape.

I guess they put Lawler v. Kamala on there because they didn't find all of Bundy's missing matches!

Lawler vs. Kamala that headlined in the Mid South Coliseum is famous for Lawler's interview where he says some boarderline racist things about Kamala. I don't have the exact quote but its something along the lines of "I'm going to wet your black lips and stick them to the wall"

Sorry King Kamala, I don't own any Abarams UWF, nor do I care too.

I have to work on Wednesday, so it might have to wait a week or so, untill I can get some time for it.

No love for USWA Tx?

I never understood the concept behind those tapes because only one of the matches would have the guy on the cover (King Kong Bundy) in them.

Here's the time period for each federation in the poll along with some feature to give you a better idea of what's on them.

UWF 1986-87, almost the whole history of the federation.

WCCW: 1982, 1984-85, lots of great heel work from Adams/Hernandez, plus Midnights vs. Fantastics!

Florida: 1981-83, lots of Dusty Rhodes... oh wait I need to make you WANT to read the review, David Von Erich as a HEEL

Continental: 1987-88, THE BEST TAPES OF MY WHOLE REGIONAL COLLECTION too much good shit to list, Prichard vs. DWB feud, Stud Stable, Eddie Gilbert, Paul E. Dangerously. Downtown Bruno!

Mid Atlantic: 1983-85, the national expansion, the Race vs. Flair match when Orton and Slater tried to break his neck,

Memphis: 1988, lots of wise ass remarks from Lance Russel, plus early stuff from Jeff Jarrett, Cactus Jack, and a BIG BAD BOOTY DADDY!

USWA Tx: 1991, This federation worked its Ultra Mark fans so good, I WAS GETTING PISSED when the heels would cheat and win.

Central States: Some early Midnight Rockers, not much else of note.

WCWW and Continental sound the best out of those tapes.

Can't wait for the review

Best of UWF vol. 1 is up on Smark Talk right now. I'm trying an experimental review style here, let me know what you think of it. If I recapped in my standard style then it'd be too damn long and the recap would bore you to tears.
