I would have banned you just for the fact that you have *him* in your sig.

And no, I'm not talking about the guy in gold and black.

Sapp?

He makes Favre his bitch at times. :)

He also tries to end other players careers along with trying to threaten coaches with bodily harm.

If this was 20-25 years ago Sapp would have been on the Raiders while no other team would touch him.

Sapp is just a giant attention starved prick who will do anything to get noticed by people.

Anything.

Like Tom Jackson said, if Clifton doesn't get hurt on the play, no one talks about it, and no one talks about Sapp. I know the hit was legal, but I DO think it was totally unnecessary for him to drill someone like that. If Sapp gets a reputation as a cheap-shot artist, that will be the play people point to, and it will be entirely his own fault.

If Clifton does his job, and plays until the whistle blows, none of this happens. When you're on the field, you have to be aware of what's going on. The play could have reversed field, or a fumble could have happened. Yes, Sapp didn't need to drill him like that... but he was just doing his job.

Does anyone remember the Ravens-Broncos MNF game when Ray Lewis maimed a player during that Field Goal return... and received tons of praise for it? I judge that hit and Sapp's the same. It's too bad that Clifton was injured so severely.. but that's football... and hopefully the players in such a violent learn to realize that you have to be aware at all times.

That was a pretty awesome hit, but they guy wasnt hurt and he also had a chance of getting to McCallister, so really theres no comparison. Clifton wasnt anywhere near the play and Sapp hit him (legally) but it was still a dirty play.

I still find it strange that, amidst all the fines being doled out for tacklers leading with their helmets, that Sapp got away with one hell of a sawed-off helmet-first hit.

Personally, legal hit or not, Sapp had intentions on roughing Clifton up (he even admitted so in the post-game interview) and, for that reason, I don't think Green Bay is wrong in the least for calling open season on Sapp the next time the teams play each other.

Funny how a thread about AS' "great 9000th" post turned into a thread about FOOTBALL~!

I'm just anxiously waiting for Bucs/Falcons next week in the hopes that Sapp tries to pull that shit on Vick, only for Vick to do something CRAZY-AMAZING like decapitate Sapp with laser boots while simultaneously running and throwing for a pair of 61-yard touchdowns.

Every time I see a wicked hit like that, I think back many years to when Dennis Byrd got paralyzed, and get a nasty little chill.

I beleive Rasmus was the inventor of the OAOAST. I'm pretty sure it was his idea. Then someone made the thread.

No. I was the inventor of the OAOAST. Like Goodhelmet point out, AS was pissed he didn't become a Mod, so I suggested making the "One & Only Anglesault thread." CWM was the one who made the thread. Once they started putting together shows and becoming somewhat of an e-fed, I joined them to help their shows run smooth. Now I'm the Vince McMahon of the OAOAST, only I know what I'm doing.

So you're saying in like 500 posts I should be banned??

No, but you should be forced to change up your sig banners. Keep the same material or whatever, just get them the papacita make-over. It's all the rage with the kids these days.

That's just BS. The guy w/ the ball was 2 steps from running out of bounds surrounded by GB players, while Sapp & Clifton were on the far hash mark. There's no way they would have gotten involved in that play.

Legal hit, but a dirty one.

If Greg Maddux leaves the Braves, I'll get my Real Kliq banner changed. But Regal still is God

See, Regal can still be god and all, only change the banner up a little. Use some different colors, maybe a different font, but can still retain the picture of Regal that looks like he's holding in a tremendous shit.

I honestly don't know how to make a banner or anything like that and Papacita is busy with requests so I'm happy with what I got.
