[Guest Kevin Sullivan Booked My Divorce]

Pretty good Tuesday in terms of new videos/dvds, so let's get to what I saw:

 

A.I. Artificial Intelligence:  Make no mistake about it, this is a Kubrick movie, not a Spielberg one...so don't expect E.T. flying by the moon or some shit...expect weird philosophical stuff.  I really enojyed it, especially the 'Teddy' character, who's voice is just hilarious coming from a bear.  B+

 

Last Castle, The:  Really cool movie.  Gandolfini is really good in this as the paranoid prison warden.  Redford is always rather bland, in my opinon, but he doesn't take anything away from this movie.  Although the outcome may be predictable to some degree, sometimes predictable makes sense.  A-

 

One, The:  A unique storyline, to say the least.  The action is good, too.  I don't know though, I was kind of bored with it.  C+

I still read this thread every time. I was gonna get The One. I hope it is good. I have been waiting for it to come out.

Last Castle looks boss and I wanted to see it in the theaters.  

 

 

On a side note Shannon Elizabeth is the worst actress ever.

The One is good for what it is (sci-fi action).  And its pretty short so you don't start getting bored with it.  It is the perfect popcorn movie.  Just don't go in expecting Blade Runner.
