Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted December 2, 2002 From a house show report.... <<<<After the match, Angle and Benoit began arguing, which prompted an impromptu asskicking. They did all their signature moves. It was a treat for everyone crowded around the ring, no more than a few feet away. I marked out big time. After their fight, Angle talked up how good a wrestler Benoit is. He asked Benoit to just come into the ring and shake his hand. Benoit shook Angle's hand, then hugged him, and grabbed his ass. Everyone laughed at that, until Angle made some comment we couldn't hear, but sounded vaguely homosexual. At any rate, it was wonderful. >>> PLEASE don't let this be the beginning of a homosexal turn, and let it just be a house show rib...
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted December 2, 2002 I can see Angle giving Benoit something on Valentine's Day, and Benoit rejecting them.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted December 2, 2002 I think they are just doing this to get the laughs out of the crowd... ...but if I see Angle proposing to Benoit, I'm done watching SD>
Guest deadbeater Report post Posted December 2, 2002 Angle/Benoit making solemn vows to feud for life, I can tolerate that.
Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted December 2, 2002 That's pretty funny stuff. A Smackdown house show is actually something I wouldn't mind seeing, as opposed to a Raw show which I would avoid like the plague. Angle rocks.
Guest evilhomer Report post Posted December 2, 2002 The ass grabbing was just some of the locker room commraderie (sp) that Angle does. The homosexual statement he made either was misheard and wasn't at all, or was just another joke. I wouldn't worry about this leading to another Chuckabilly angle. Angle and Benoit hugging is one of the funniest things I've seen on tv in a while. Angle being Angle, and Benoit reluctantly accepting with a "get this freak off me" look on his face cracked me up. Guest Mole Report post Posted December 2, 2002 It is just Angle being a clown, like he usually his.
Guest notJames Report post Posted December 2, 2002 I can see Angle turning into (or being now) an Owen Hart-esque goofball at house shows where he breaks kayfabe now and then to make the matches more fun for both the wrestlers and the audience. It still breaks my heart that Angle and Owen never hooked it up in the ring. That would truly have been something...

It reminded me of that Simpsons Halloween episode where Ned Flanders hugs the Gremlin.
