Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted December 2, 2002 I just thought I'd start a thread on some wrestler who have appeared in TNA but disappeared, and some talent that never was in TNA and has disappeared. -Appolo: This guy was getting a big push, I haven't seen him since his match with Jarrett. -Monte Brown: The guy was getting over and I sensed some star potential. Where is he? -The Johnsons. No I don't care, but they were built up as such a big deal at the beginning. -Elix Skipper: Where's primetime? -Joel Gertner. We saw the return of Mortimer Plumbtree, but Gertner was the original manager of Rainbow Express and just disappeared after a couple appearences. He can be an entertaining manager or announcer. -Devon Storm (Tempest) and Kobain: With the New church getting a big push, what happened to these former members? -Norman Smiley: Got choked out by Truth and that was that. Steve Corino: Where is he? He's a ready main event talent as a face or heel. Now for a few that would probably fit in well but I haven't heard anything from. -Air Paris: What happened to this guy? He was AJ styles tag team partner in WCW, Im suprised he wasn't brought to TNA with him. -Danny Dorring and Roadkill: They were the ECW tag champs when they folded, they were getting pretty popular by the end and would be a great addition to the TNA tag ranks. -Joey Mathews and Christian York: I remember these guys from ECW, were kinda like the Hardy Boys of old, would fit in great in the Xdivision. That's all I can think of. Anyone can shed some light on what happened to some of these guys and will they be back? EDIT: add Lodi! The original partner of Lenny. Will he back soon? with Alan Funk ditching the Bruce gimmick seems like a perfect chance to reunite the ORIGINAL Rainboy Express!!! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

He wrestles in Puerto Rico I beleive, and is probably there right now. Likely was a casualty of TNA cutting budget and not flying him in. Monty Brown: Disapeared the day after he tossed Truth on his head during their title match. Funny how that worked. Johnsons: I think they just dropped the gimmick and never brought them back without it. Gimmick going is good. Elix Skipper: I wish I knew. Started getting an angle than disapeared again. I assume he'll pop up again eventually. Joel Gertner: Made a bad impression during his stay with TNA. They never asked him back. Kobain: Last I heard he was working full time somewhere in Central America. Tempest: I don't know...but I think I read TNA and he had a falling out over what I don't know. Plus...Syxx and Hall were two of the highest paid on the roster...and they don't have to pay them anymore... so eventually they'll have to do something about that damn heavyweight division. I asked about Air Paris (who was in WCW actually with AJ Styles), Dorring, Roadkill, Mathews and York. Those guys should be in TNA, but I havent heard about them in almost 2 years! I read that Mike Awesome might do some TNA in between Japan tours...but that hasn't happened yet. He may have had a 90 day thing like Money and Sanders did. I'm sure they'd like to bring in Luger and Sting...and they could probably work out a deal with them now that they got new money...I wouldn't mind seeing Sting. Rick Steiner worked there once and never got back for whatever reason. Saturn was just released and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get signed more than anyone on this post. Dory worked a dark match for the crowd last week and then did an interview. There was a storyline she was doing where people would give her money each week (Borash, a referee, Omori, Ed Ferrara), the announcers questioned Ferrara about it but he said he couldn't talk about it now. Well he left, and when Russo came in the storyline was dropped, so we'll never know what that was building to. Guest geniusMoment Report post Posted December 2, 2002 I realize he was never in TNA but who I feel TNA should bring in is the hardcore king himself, MicK Foley. Mick seems to care about the business, if he is telling the truth in his books, and might be willing to appear for less money than usual if he felt he was helping the business. Mick seems to have a loyal fan base and if you could get him to wrestle just one match you could build it up for a couple of weeks, buying spots during raw, and draw in many new viewers. If begging doesn't get mick to come in just get whipwreck out of retirement and have him try to get Foley in, they seem to be good friends. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
