Guest Tim Cooke Report post Posted December 2, 2002 from ROHWrestling.com: "9) How would you sum up your WWE developmental experience? CC: Enjoyed getting a paycheck every week. Didn't like anything else about it. I felt like I was taking a step backwards doing drills and all kinds of other beginners nonsense. I believe it would have been better for me if I could have just joined the active roster while on the road and practice on the things that I needed to the most. I already had more wrestling experience in my four years in the business than just about anybody else there. I just needed work on promos. The WWE seemed more interested in acting skills before wrestling ability. I remember one day coming into practice and there was a list on the desk asking wrestlers to sign up for acting classes. I laughed and just said "you have got to be kidding me!" I did have some good matches while I was there that I was really proud of. My matches with Spanky, Jamie Noble, Shannon Moore, Kaz Hayashi, and EZ Money were some of my favorites. I learned the most from Dr. Tom Pritchard while I was there. I really appreciate his and Les Thatcher's help while I was there. I would always be up for joining the WWE again, but would not sign a developmental deal. I would rather just make my money wrestling overseas and ROH. Hopefully, the WWE will get away from the soap opera stuff and get back to some good wrestling angles." Fun stuff. Guest Daddy X Report post Posted December 2, 2002 Very Interesting stuff. I think the whole "acting" aspect of WWE is depriving a lot of Indy Wrestlers out of a good paying job. Sure the majority of indy workers out there aren't good enough to get into the WWE, but a select few like American Dragon and others definatly have all the in ring tools to work both the current WWE style and show the fans some of their own style that most people have missed. Some Indy guys like Spanky and James Maritato have the character aspect going for them as well as all the in ring skills so it's no surpise that their in. Honestly if I were an indy wrestler and had my in ring stuff down good I would just take acting classes and do what the WWE wanted me to. It's a hell of a paycheck and no matter how much we put down WWE, we would all kill to work there.
