Guest Ozymandias Report post Posted December 3, 2002 Does Jennifer Lopez really trust her betrothed? Britain's ITV News is reporting that J.Lo has presented Ben Affleck with a prenuptial agreement that would slap him with a whopping $7.7 million fine if he ever has an affair and a $1.5 million fine for lying to her. This is her way of assuring the marriage works, reports ITV News, which also reveals that the prenup was her mother's idea. Now, normally celebrity gossip nauseates me, but this was just too funny not to share. Not to mention pathetic if he agrees (he will). Plus, Ben Affleck is a douchebag so it's all good. Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted December 3, 2002 So, if Ben cheats on J.Ho with Matt Damon, he's gotta pay her 7.7 mil? Damn.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted December 3, 2002 J. Lo or not any self-respecting man would see that and hit the road. Besides 1.5 million for everytime he lies to her? I don't care how much money he has he'll be broke in no time.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted December 3, 2002 if her lawyer presented me with that, i'd go fuck a dozen chicks that very second, then sign the contract, then back out of the marriage at the last minute.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted December 3, 2002 I guess Ben Affleck won't be sleeping with Kevin Smith anytime soon.....
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted December 3, 2002 He should present her with a prenup stating that if she intends to use any of his fortune to put the music fans through more torture by making another album then she owes him 7.7 million. Seriously though. How could anyone not see that if this prenup is legit, he is getting conned by a "diva" That just makes me sick. She has trust issues with him? This is the same woman who had romances with Puffdaddy and some Latin Dancer which both were the biggest publicity stunts ever....
Guest razazteca Report post Posted December 3, 2002 is that a legit news company or one of the millions of tabloids? Either way I could care less about this marriage of convience, I see this one similiar to the Michael Jackson or Tom Green marriage as it is just for publisity for the Maid movie that Lopez is shrilling. OK, so Lopez is not yet officially divorced (for the second time), is engaged to another man who (as far as we know) has NEVER been married, and HE'S getting hit with the prenup? Note to Ben: Run fast, and run far, far away.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted December 3, 2002 note to Ben: Do it in the most uncomfortable spot, and I am not refering to the backseat of a VW.
Guest notJames Report post Posted December 3, 2002 Yeah, pull a Shannon Hamilton on her pathetic no-talent culo and broadcast it on the campus cable TV station. The entire relationship is merely a scheme cooked up by her PR department to steer her image away from the gun-toting rap scene that got her in trouble in the first place. She's pathetic. And we're all pathetic for talking about it.
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted December 3, 2002 Anybody here a law student or anything who could tell us how much credence to give this? Like, how enforcable would the fines be if Lopez actually tried to collect on them?
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted December 3, 2002 Remember I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on the law because I'm not. If he signs it under his own free will and she gets actual proof of cheating I'd assume that the fines could be enforced quite easily. I doubt she'd go after the lies part unless it was something major.

Guest red_file Report post Posted December 5, 2002 He is a fool if he agrees to those terms, just a silly fool. A fool in love and locked between her thighs may see things differently. Could you blame him?
Guest Ozymandias Report post Posted December 5, 2002 I can and will. Being madly in love can make you do dumb things, BUT THERE IS A LIMIT.
Guest red_file Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Love makes one do and believe silly things. How difficult would it be to sign if he truly believed that he'd never lie or cheat on her? Sure, believe such a thing is silly and foolish, but it's certainly possible. And, of course, he doesn't strike me as the sharpest knife in the drawer... Guest Some Guy Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Depending on the state Pre-nup mean little or nothing (at least when the man is being screwed) and the utter goofyness of this one would lead me to believe it wouldn't be upheld. How can you fine a husband for lying to his wife? "Honey, do I look fat in this outfit?" "Uh......... No dear you look great." Does that count a $1.7 Million lie? Or are "white lies" a lesser offense and bigger lies worth teh whole fine? Inquiring minds want to know. Or not. So some schmuck from Cambrigde wants to marry "Jenny from the block," who fuckign gives a shit? They'll be divorced in a few months and everybody will forget about it. Unless Lopez's lawyers and agents realize this and want to use teh divorce and pre-nup as a further publicity stunt. Conspiring minds want to know. Or not. Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted December 5, 2002 "Hey, how was my movie, Ben?" "It was, uh, good." $1.5 million, cause that'd be way more than a little white lie (Although Anaconda wasn't THAT bad)

Guest J*ingus Report post Posted December 6, 2002 I imagine it went something like this: Ben was fucking her in the ass one day, and in the middle of it she said "Hey baby, sign this paper real quick for me, would you?"
