Guest BoboBrazil Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 Chief Moorely came out earlier in the night to change a match when outside interference happened, but why didn't he come out when HHH used a chair and disqualified him? It doesn't make any sense at all. I could have understood if Chief Moorely was doing an angle where he would just help the heels by restarting, but he has helped the faces for the most part with his decisions.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 Because 3H is above man's law, dammit! No one shall keep him down, for he is the savior of wrestling.
JasonX Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 Because 3H is above man's law, dammit! No one shall keep him down, for he is the savior of wrestling. Given how info on HHH's Armageddon match with HBK and the fact that he's getting the belt back were leaked onto the internet and the growing vocal backlash against HHH by the fans, the WWE MIGHT backpeddle and use Sean Morley to make HHH vs HBK a three way match with RVD inserted into the main event as Bischoff's way of making up for not coming out at the end of Raw to overturn the match/force HBK to vacate the belt. Granted this scenerio still leaves the question of whether or not the WWE abort the planned regaining of the Vanity Belt by HHH up for grabs, let alone wether or not RVD's inclusion into the match would be nothing more than a means to once again have HHH bury Rob as a non-factor and beneath him.
Guest Flyboy Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 Stop using common logic, BB. Be realistic.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 I agree with Flyboy. This is the WWE, logic is not their friend.
Guest razazteca Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 also Cheif Moorley spells his first name wrong Shawn >Sean the way it look Cheif Moorley only rule over Canadian tag team matches while GM Bishoff manages the Main Event.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 The main events and finishes are always leaked. Hell...everyone here shit all over the fact that we were told that Big Show and HBK would win last month...and that didn't stop them. You think it can stop HHH? HHHAHHHAHHHA
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 I just thought that Shawn didn't see the chair shot and was striken deaf for approximately 5 seconds while HHH hit RVD with the chair, but thats just my take on it, I suppose..
Guest razazteca Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 So did Shawn lose his smile after numerous ref bumps and just decide to make HHH the winner that chair shot was Lance Storm level lameness

That doesn't matter. The ref didn't see the outside interference by Christian earlier, but Moorly came out and changed the match.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 I was amused to see that our beloved comeback kid was dropped for over a minute by a 2nd rope body press. Anyway, I vote that starting next week the Chief of Staff never existed, and hopefully WWE follows my lead. Either that, or we continue making fun of them.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 Maybe Chief Morely was eating a hot dog in the back then..
Guest razazteca Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 Cheif Morely was saying hello to the Freaks in the back.
Guest JHawk Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 I made a similar point in my recap (click the sig if you haven't been there). Morley forced a restart for Booker-Jericho when one wasn't really needed, but didn't restart the Tag Team Title match when it was at least feasible to have a restart. They need to be consistent with Morley's role or it's going to die a horrible horrible death.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 Let's face it, from the get go, it was a bad gimmick. One which we've all seen before as the "Commissioner", and one which will not have enough initiative or coherence from the bookers and writers, or interest from fans to develop. The ONLY way I can see a resolve, is if Morley eventually goes into a storyline with Christian or Jericho specifically. But why not just cut to the chase without this ridiculous set-up? If you want beef between the three or want an alliance, then don't go this route.... Angles work so much better without convoluted or complicated set-ups. I don't know how healthy Morley is currently, but why can't they just let him go out and put on matches, without this ridiculous gimmick. SmackDown seemed to be doing that well enough, in cutting to the chase and simply putting on matches.

I hope you are joking right. Vince has actually said he doesn't give two shits about what people say on the internet. If anything, he purposly(sp?) won't put RVD in the main event, just because the Internet wants it. I was thinking the same thing. Why didn't Chief Venis come out during the ME and say something? Well, probably becuase it was 11:02 and CSI was coming on soon. And because WWE doesn't make any sense, ever.

If anything, he purposly(sp?) won't put RVD in the main event, just because the Internet wants it. The problem is it isn't just the internet saying it. It's the fans in the arenas saying it when they chant "RVD RVD RVD" and sort of go, "Eh, cool" when HBK does his nip up. Attendance and TV ratings falling...PPV revenue falling...the crowd shitting on everything HHH does...let's blame the internet.
Guest evilhomer Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 Angles work so much better without convoluted or complicated set-ups. But then there's no logic to the angle, it just comes out of nowhere and makes no sense. We all know how important little details like that are to them. Something coming out of nowhere would be a real surprise and may create genuine interest, can't have that.
Guest ArchoanJB Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 I for one, don't want RVD in the main event of Armageddon, it'll just be a chance for him to blow his title shot again as well as get squashed by Triple Ache, which will lower his stock even more, RVD's is 2002's Chris Jericho, a huge fan favorite that doesn't get what he deserves.
Guest Ace309 Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 I'm sick of Chief Morely, and I'm a Venis mark for some reason. If they're going to have him be a troubleshooting referee or Minister Of Dusty Finishes (credit some guy I can't remember), they should at least be consistent. Unless... Last week AND this week, the Tag Team Title matches ended on a beltshot. I've GOT IT! The belts are made of Kryptonite, and Chief Morely is Superman's secret identity! (This RAW 12/9 preview brought to you by Shitty Fantasy Booking Inc)
Guest Downhome Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 I think it's faily obvious that this is leading to him either being with, or having some sort of aliance with Jericho/Christian. I don't know where it's going, but it looks that way to me. Why however, I do not know.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 This whole Chief of Staff gimmick sucks big time, and it doesn't make sense when he only comes out during certain matches. To make this seem more real, he should have restarted the HHH vs. RVD match. Oh well, Vince isn't that smart enough. He probably figured that we wouldn't notice that Morley didn't come out. Either that, or that we wouldn't care if he came out or not.
Guest Downhome Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 To make this seem more real, he should have restarted the HHH vs. RVD match. No, only had RVD got the pin should that have happened. He is a heel, that's his job.

Damn, if you got your information from "leaked" information on the net, then you are slow as hell. It doesn't take a genius to figure out the next steps. All you have to do is think like a moron or HHH and you're all set.

Bisch's more of a "tweener" it seems, but who can tell anymore. You sure as hell can't tell me Steph's a face now. Of course, the storyline says she just spread her legs for Steiner to convince him to come to SD. I guess that might make her face to WWE fans. Wait...didn't she just last Thursday say she... EEEEEW!!
Guest Texas Small Arms 09 Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 That only lasts for 5 days, so she is done. Notice girls don't mind talking about periods. Guys get all squirmy and shit.
Guest deadbeater Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 I think Steiner is freaky enough to take a woman who is wet not by perspiration.
