Guest HellSpawn Report post Posted December 7, 2002 Well, after a few days..no replies? As a PROUD memeber ( j/k ) of "Todd McFarlane's fans who hate Peter David and wish him a long series of kicks in the groin", I guess Im happy to know that there arent Peter David fans !!! Guest SP-1 Report post Posted December 7, 2002 I'm a fan of his Trek work. But I haven't read very much of his other stuff. But his work on the totally original Star Trek: New Frontiers is some dynamite stuff.
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted December 7, 2002 I collected Young Justice for a while until I got bored with it, shortly after the Sins of Youth storyline. It was nice & light for the most part, but there were some pretty intense issues, like the "Arrowette goes ballistic" one. I started picking up Supergirl a couple of issues back, and it's a lot of fun. PAD just brought back Kara Zor-El (pre-Crisis Supergirl), and he takes a couple of amusing shots at some of those Silver Age stories. The art is pretty good too. Guest Sassquatch Report post Posted December 7, 2002 No Incredible Hulk run love? For shame on all of you! *ahem* Spider Poet, I *highly* recommend you go and check out David's Incredible Hulk run (#330 - #467). The issues that you should read out of that run are #364 - #435. Awesome stuff furing a bad period for comics and is very underrated.
Guest SP-1 Report post Posted December 7, 2002 I'll be sure to check the back-bins when I'm next at the comics shop.
Guest raptor Report post Posted December 7, 2002 I was thinking, and I don't believe I've ever read anything by Peter David. I think that makes me a bad comic fan for some reason.
Guest crandamaniac Report post Posted December 8, 2002 No Incredible Hulk run love? For shame on all of you! *ahem* ah, Sass. I too was a fan of David's Hulk run, but unfortunately didn't get into till around the pre-Heroes Reborn till it was resolved, then fell out of touch with it

Awesome stuff furing a bad period for comics and is very underrated. I highly recommend issue #372 (almost positive this is it, but I don't have the time to pull out the box these issues are in), which features the return of the Green Hulk. Has one of my favorite covers, ever.
Guest Sassquatch Report post Posted December 9, 2002 Incredible Hulk #372 is the return of the Green Hulk after having been gone since issue #323. Issue #377 is the big issue where all of the Hulk personality's merge and Banner becomes in control of the Hulk with a new upbeat sense about him that was the key aspect of why the Hulk was appealing to fans of David's work. The Hulk was this giant big green monster yet he acted like someone's best buddy who was a smartass that was fun to be around. Not a lot of super heroes were able to do that when David was on fire with his Hulk run.
Guest HellSpawn Report post Posted December 9, 2002 OK, nest time I'll leave to die the next Petey' thread , noone replied to the original post, but silly me came here to make fun of grumpy Pete and suddenly everyone is a f'n David Fan !!! Oh man, next time, stay quiet. Oh yeah, I read a few David stuff, some of his spidey work, and... I think he wrote some Xstuff in X-Cutioner's song too. Guest Sassquatch Report post Posted December 9, 2002 That would be his New Mutants run you're thinking of HellSpawn.
Guest HellSpawn Report post Posted December 9, 2002 Nope, I think he wrote X-factor, the issue when Archangel "joins" Apocalypse and ask his fellow X pals to leave "Apo" to perform an experiment to save Xavier.
Guest Sassquatch Report post Posted December 15, 2002 David has stated in the past that he dislikes his X-Men related work immensely because of the bad memories his infighting has with him. Marvel was just so out of whack back then and david was doing his damndest to not get sucked intop the black hole of suck.
