Guest Hitman Jebus Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Paul Bearer!?!?!?!? WTF?!??!
Guest RedJed Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Well I have no fucking idea what that meant at the end, but hell, it makes me want to tune in next week, which is the whole idea anyway, right? Storyline/angle-wise, this was the best TNA to date. It also had two solid matches in Storm-Slash and the X division match. Ending was predictable with James turning, but I think that will work. James was stale as all hell so far since he arrived, and this will be something different.......a feud with Bullet Bob will be interesting, and I'm sure next week we'll see Truth v James. Having Truth and Jarrett as the two top guys against Russo's clan is smart, and you can add Jerry Lynn in there too for a trio that kicks ass if you ask me. I think sooner or later we'll see Killings turn, but we'll see about that. Shit, more stuff happened to talk about in this one show than has been going on in the company storylines for the last 2-3 months. Piper showing up had me going apeshit to say the least. I hope that wasn't just a one time deal there, although I think it was.
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Can somebody give me a rundown of what happened tonight? Had to work. Tried to get the rudown fom this thread but damn...got confused
Astro101 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Man, I missed the first 30 minutes and missed Piper. Oh well, got the replay coming up. I had a feeling he'd come to TNA since in one of his interviews he said he'd be interested. Paul Bearer came as a shock, but in a good way.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted December 5, 2002 I dunno. I enjoyed the show but almost feel ripped off. Not only was Lynn-Siaki postponed (and rightfully so), but with Red being taken out of the X division 4 way and then backing out of the Minister Mitchell stip, I just wondered what it was I actually paid for. Still, I got chills during Piper's promo and marked out like hell during the Storm-Slash match, so the show gets a thumbs up from me even with the changes. But they really need to start being careful with these last-minute lineup changes because if they do too many of them, people won't pay because they won't expect the advertised product. Guest Sykotic2002 Report post Posted December 5, 2002 I thought Paul Bearer los weight. He looks just as give as ever. Also, di Curt Hennig say he was 35 years old?
Guest RedJed Report post Posted December 5, 2002 I thought Paul Bearer los weight. He looks just as give as ever. Also, di Curt Hennig say he was 35 years old? LOL...yeah he did. The reality is that he's in his mid-40s, I believe. I don't know if thats a subtle attempt at turning heel or what. Sure seemed like it with the overall feel of that interview. Astro101 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Hennig was just trying to be funny...and it did get a chuckle from me. 35 my ass.
Guest Sykotic2002 Report post Posted December 5, 2002 From Meltzer- "Curt Hennig did an interview which was so fictitious it should have been an added chapter in Hollywood Hulk Hogan. He took down WWE champ Brock Lesnar at 35,000 feat. Mike Tenay had to remind him Brock wasn't the champ. He also revolutionized wrestling in 1990. He did say that everyone considered the NWA title to be the real world title. He said he was 35 years old and in the best shape of his life, which is carny for 44 years old and a shell of the shell I formerly was."
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted December 5, 2002 "The reason they shot the angle tonight to take Amazing Red out of the four-way is because he couldn't work due to bone spurs in one of his feet from a match on Saturday night."
