Marville

Out of curiosity, I've picked up the :gas: Marville title that Jemas is writing...It makes me feel like I'm dumb, because I have absolutley no clue with what's going on. Does anyone else know? Is there anyone else nuts enough to be reading this?

It's all inside joke about the comic industry. Unless you are a comic historian, a lot will go over your head. Plus, it is extremely poorly written, and at some times hard to follow.

So yes, it is the biggest piece of crap to be printed on a four color press.

I bought issue #1 too. I know that the whole thing is probably meant to be a joke, but it was just NOT funny, and pretty much a waste of ink, paper and people's time. Well, at least it had a picture of a hot chick on the cover.

Sadly, Jemas has stated that he did indeed write MarVille and did not go with the ghostrider route.

Now let us all point and laugh and Jemas and the fact that he thought he could hang with David and Quesada (joke or not).

This was not a joke. It was a waste of time and money.

Wasn't it David and Zimmerman?

"Let's see, David offers to give up his salary just so they can keep printing Captain Marvel, and they lump him Jemas and Zimmerman?"

"Yes."

"It's a good thing he didn't ask for a raise."

Zimmerman did not have a stake in this ridiculous bet which stemmed from David and Quesada getting into a public arguement that Jemas later got into for no reason other than to show off his johnson.

Marville was the biggest piece of shit I ever had the displeasure of reading. And this is coming from someone who read the first three issues of Death Race 2020.

While comics are rebounding somewhat, let's all just sit back and realize the folly of wasting time and money on a comic that's essentially a masturbatory joke on Jemas' part.

that it's a joke is a retcon in itself. Jemas backed himself into a corner by challenging David. My personal thoughts are that Quesada threw Ultimate Adventures into the U-Decide to help the big boss save face.

Ultimate Adventures is crap too... serious, serious crap. It's Batman except completely dull and a cast that is completely unlikeable other than the Bruce Wayne rip off.

Has there even been a second issue of Ultimate Adventures? I haven't noticed another issue of it on the stand (not that I've been looking for it).

It's up on the Marvel site now... they have been putting the worst stuff up there lately. Call of Duty, Punisher (fighting Wolverine and Midgets), Marville, and now Ultimate Adventures 2.

One good thing about U-Decide: It lit a FIRE under Peter David's ass.

Captain Marvel is his best stuff since Incredible Hulk.

i'm glad to see i'm not alone here. Marville completely BLEW GOAT BALLS!! they seem to think slapping a hot looking redhead on the cover will boost sales, completely forgetting to notice that the book itself is un-FRIGGIN'-readable.

Ultimate Adventures isn't that bad, i kinda like it. my problem with it is they can't seem to put it out on time. the first issue came out in September (i think), they completely skip October, tells us on their website the #2 AND #3 will be out in November on the same day(only #2 was, btw), tell us that in December, #4 will be out (today in fact), and that in January, #4 will be out AGAIN. jesus, Marvel, get your shit together!! either put it out or don't and get someone compadent(sp?) to do your website...btw, howzabout letting us know what day in January X-Statix #7 is coming out...jerk-offs.

Just popping in here to say that everyone should give David's Captain Marvel series a look if they get the chance.

It looks as if David has something to prove and it shows in his work.
