Guest Sykotic2002 Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 Since I did the most overrated, I thought i'd do most underrated. I think James Storm and Chris Harris are underrated. Don't hear to many people put them over. Maybe it's because they are not from the Northeast(basically all you hear about with the exception of a few) and because they are not spot monkeys. They always have good logical solid matches. There feud with Slash and Brian Lee has really surprised me. When I first heard about this feud, I was thinking "Oh God!" But the matches have been good and I look forward to seeing them. Also give credit toSlah and Lee. I also think Jay Briscoe is underrated. Don't hear about as much as others, but he's a solid worker. Can't say anything about Mark Briscoe because all I've seen of him is in TNA. Also think Frankie Kazarian is underrated also.
Guest Last Warrior Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 Doug Williams is the most underrated worker in the universe. That is a direct quote from Dave Meltzer and I cannot disagree.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 I've only seen one Doug Williams match, vs. Jody Fleisch, and some of the stuff he did in that match blew me away. Some of Britain's talents, such as Williams, Fleisch, and Jonny Storm are underrated. Nick Berk is also underrated, and for now, Josh Prohibition.
Guest ShooterJay Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 I agree with all of these. I'm surprised WWE has never tried to sign Williams, he works the same style as Regal, but at a much faster pace and with higher-impact moves. Jay Briscoe, in a few years, will be Kurt Angle-level scary good. Also, PAUL LONDON DAMMIT! Check out his matches from ROH "Crowning a Champion" and "Unscripted" and tell me this guy isn't the future.
Guest Last Warrior Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 You are right. We have some great workers here in Britain and as soon as the rest of the world sees them it can only be great for british wrestling.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 I'm tired of hearing about the greatness of Jay Briscoe, he's not as good as he gets credit for. Justice Pain...much better worker then given credit for Yukon Braxton...unknown outside of Michigan, best heavyweight we have here. Chris Hero...should be bigger then he is
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 I so agree with Chris Hero. Besides the occasional shabby selling during his finishers, he's tremendous (and one of the best heavys in the U.S.) I would group Colt Cabana in with Hero; they're both awesome, and Cabana is just great at being a heel. David Young & Rick Michaels get no respect. Both are really, really, really good (especially at old-school style stuff). Young gets a bad rap because he's not as good at X-style stuff. Well, it's his only shots at the big-time, and he's working an unfamiliar style. "Spyder" Nate Webb is also pretty good. He gets crap from people who know who he is for doing hardcore stuff, but he's very good at doing straight stuff (and he's one of the funniest guys on the indy scene). Mondo's also a pretty good straight worker who gets crap for working the deathmatches.
Guest dreamer420 Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 I know I'll get blasted for saying this but I'm a fan of Ric Blade and I think he gets an unfair shake most of the time.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted December 6, 2002 Report Posted December 6, 2002 Blade used to have an unreal hype about him, but his injuries, general sloppiness, people he has injured, and his initial department from CZW destroyed his reputation. A solid showing at COD4 could work wonders in repairing it, however.
Guest ChaosTheory Posted December 6, 2002 Report Posted December 6, 2002 Doug Williams- look at my member name! Joey Matthews Briscoe Brothers-a lot of people on the net say they are not all that-but by God they are only 17 & 18 years old! Their match at "Honor Invades Boston" blew me away. Again they are only 17 & 18 years old! The Amazing Red-he gets blasted as a "spot" machine. But after watching him at the beginning of this year and watching him now he has vastly improved and will only get better with age.
Guest thetrendsetter Posted December 6, 2002 Report Posted December 6, 2002 ECCW's Vance Nevada is very underrated, So is Chris Harris, I like him, he's solid... oh, and Xavier, always seems like the odd man out of the elite U.S. wrestlers
