Guest HHHater Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Austin will probably be back by then, Rocky will probably show up a few weeks before the show to set up some big dream match, Hogan *might* be back...if Brock, Angle, Jericho, HBK, and Benoit are all healthy, the potential for dream matches is limitless. I would say that they might even decide to go ahead with the RVD experiment at Mania, but me and bps both know that the chances of that are slim to none. Just thinking about all of the potential combinations makes me drool... Austin vs. Brock...Rock vs. HBK...Austin vs. Benoit...Brock vs. Angle...Austin vs. Hogan...HBK vs. Hogan...Brock vs. Benoit...Rock vs. Austin...and it goes on and on. You know what I would love to see? Brock completely annihilate HHH. That would be sweet.

Guest BA_Baracus Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Regardless of what else is going on, Wrestlemania is always going to be good. What concerns me is...is the Raw after going to be good, or are they going to have a great PPV and then just go back to crap?
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Remember VIII when they couldn't sell out the Hoosier Dome? It was depressing to see the glaringly empty parts of the upper decks. Poor Gorilla Monsoon had to shill them as sold out though. Ah, to have Gorilla/Heenan or Gorilla/Ventura as a team again. Too bad it'll never happen now. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted December 5, 2002 I think it will go down in history as a great WM on PAPER with the dream matches but the matches themselves might not be anything special, if we are talking about the likes of Hogan etc. being there. It will be like a momentous occasion that will hopefully overshadow what they do in the ring. I think we'll end up with: Brock v Angle RVD v Jericho Rock v Austin (they'll both return at the same time...) Nash v HHH Taker v Steiner HBK v ????
Guest Insane Bump Machine Report post Posted December 5, 2002 You know what I would love to see? Brock completely annihilate HHH. That would be sweet. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Hmmm... Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit vs Eddie Guererro vs Brock Lesnar. Just think about it. Throw the SD title on the line, and come up with a good Dream Match quality main event for the Big Gold Belt purely because 4-man main events always suck ass, and suck 10 times harder when used at WM. Guest eirejmcmahon Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Brock Lesnar kicking out of the pedigree and F5ing HHH for a clean pin in the middle of the ring would be my markout moment of the decade.
Guest Brian Report post Posted December 5, 2002 It'll sell out, considering the demand out in the west. Heck, Seattle almost sold out two nights in a row, which is almost unprecedented anywhere else in the country four months ago, Oregon, Idaho, Montana hardly get any wrestling; and up North in Canada doesn't get much exposure either. The card: WWE Championship Brock Lesnar © vs. Kurt Angle Chris Benoit vs. Steve Austin Eddy/Chavo vs. Edge/Christian Knoble vs. Mysterio I can't figure out the RAW card right now. Guest midnight_burn Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Wrestlemania XIX will be all about HHH vs Diesel, i'm sure of it. I'm sure Michaels will get his face in there somewhere, so we can have a big kilq party to dominate the show. Other than that they could put on one hell of an event, and it won't take much at all to top this years weak effort.
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted December 5, 2002 we can lose HHH vs. Brock to unify title. HHH wins and rules all no matter what else happens, i will never order another wwe ppv after that niko
Guest The Tino Standard Report post Posted December 5, 2002 I don't think the crowd at WMVIII was THAT bad... I mean, let's say the venue holds 68,000 and they put about 62,000 in there (enough to have a significant amount of empty seats around the top). Let's even say that 20,000 of those were papered. A crowd of 40,000 paid is still a pretty damn solid gate and I don't think they'd complain about it. Hold that same event in a normal sized arena and you can't get more than half of that size, even with a sellout.

Guest Brian Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Choken, a couple of problems: First, Rock doesn't want anywhere near Triple H. Especially losing for nothing. Austin won't come back to be on Triple H's show. There's no point in unifying the tag belts. Why RVD vs. Benoit? What's the plan for the cruiser match, just throwing people on the show? Austin won't come back to be on Triple H's show. There's no point in unifying the tag belts. Why RVD vs. Benoit? What's the plan for the cruiser match, just throwing people on the show? When has Rock EVER had a problem with Triple H? I think It's you who doesn't want Rock near HHH. Rock is a guy H3 might mind jobbing to because he knows that A great match with one of hollywood's big stars will only elevate his status and besides he owns a Job to rock. Rock can't return (remember WWE still think Rock is the #1 star) to face Jericho AGAIN or be seen in a ring with a ugly midgit with a gap in his tooth (WWE's thinking here). OK, Maybe Crybaby Austin will have problems working with Triple H show...but He needs to be slapped on the ass anyways...He can't have anything he wants...He won't be able to walk off again because this time, he has no arguement. There is no point in Unifying the tag belts? True but I coulden't think of any faces to combat Eddy/Chavo...so I reached for straws. Why not RVD-Beniot? I can't think of a way to explain the interpromotional thing but Fuck the logic...One company we all know does. I just ran out of heels on Raw and Faces on Smackdown unless you want to turn Beniot to face Rikishi instead and RVD-Test. Of course, not like they would ever be an actual angle buildup for cruisers...just to throw all the names on the show and excite the Puro Smarks.

Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Triple H vs. Everyone Else (Guess who jobs in each match) Heh. I'm picturing Hunter going through the jobber ranks and lying down for everyone.. HHH vs Shannon Moore. Heh. Here's an expansion of my original idea... Kurt (face) vs Eddy (heel) vs Benoit (tweener) vs Brock (heel), 4-way elimination for the WWE title Kurt, Guererro, and Benoit get into a three way brawl and Brock comes in and hits them like a truck. Each man gets up one-by-one and tries to get his own offense in, but Brock doesn't budge and flattens them. Brock even gets an early F-5 on Kurt Angle and Kurt is down and out. The other two get on Brock before he can go for the pin, and finally bring him off his feet. Benoit and Guererro look at each other, then shake hands. They start stomping on Brock and team up against him while JR goes on about the past of the Radicalz and whatnot while Benoit/Guererro totally work over Lesnar. Kurt Angle comes back to life, sees what's going on, and without being asked also starts working on Lesnar. They stop, and the former Radicalz stare at Kurt. Benoit offers Angle a handshake, but Angle holds his arms out in a hug gesture. Reluctantly, Benoit gives Kurt a hug...And turns it into a belly-to-belly, catching Kurt off guard. They start working Kurt into the corner until Lesnar awakes, picks up Guererro, throws him out of the ring, takes Benoit, and gives him the F-5 in the middle of the ring for a pin. Benoit is eliminated. As soon as the pin is made, Angle pulls Lesnar off Benoit and puts him in an ankle lock. Lesnar tries a couple of reversals, but Kurt won't let go. While Benoit makes a scene to distract the ref, Eddie runs in with the Championship belt and clocks Angle, who lets go of Brock. Each of the remaining guys goes through their spots. Eddie Guererro attempts a frogsplash on Angle, but Lesnar picks him up off the post and delivers two vicious powerbombs. He goes for a third, but Guererro starts beating on Brock's head and forces his way out of it. Angle is put in the El Passo Lasso and after some reversals Guererro finds himself in the anklelock. Eddie is forced to tap out. So you're left with Kurt Angle vs Brock Lesnar. These two go into a COMPLETE MAT WORKOUT, with Angle getting the upper hand at the end every time. "Whooo!" the straps come down to a big audience pop. Pissed, Brock goes into the Strong Man stuff and starts chucking Angle around the ring for a good amount of time, accidentally bumping the ref out in the process. Kurt finally gets to his feet. In desperation, he reverses a whip to reverse a whip and send Brock over the ropes and out of the ring. Lesnar grabs a steel chair from the outside. He brings it in and starts smacking it hard against the apron. Angle backs up until he's up against the ropes. Brock swings and.. MISSES, bouncing the chair off the ropes and into his face. Lesnar is dazed. Angle quickly scrambles up a corner and uses the moonsault but is CAUGHT in mid-air. Lesnar, realizing what he's just been given, puts Kurt in position for the F5, but Angle slides out just when he's lifted into the air. Angleslam! Referee just manages to crawl over... He gets the pin! New WWE Champion: Kurt Angle ------------------------ ....And I'll stop here before I have to be forcibly carried off to the Fantasy Booking forum. But how's THAT for a hot match? P.S.: Vince hire me plz.
Guest Brian Report post Posted December 6, 2002 JotW, not to come off to critical but it seems somewhat wrong to have am ultiple man main event on the biggest card of the year where feuds are generally blown off and pushes for the title reach a climax. The four-way takes away from Angle's run for the title IMO. Will Nash even be back by then. He obviously doesn't have the heart or age that HHH had going for him, judging by the flicks. People aren't going to care about the six-man so no one really going to cream over it. Rock been said to be reluctant about returning and working with HHH. Plus, if they have him back for the few weeks they do, why waste it? Austin doesn't have to come back, and he won't if he's on HHH's show. Here's the other half of the RAW card if they weren't so close to blowing it: World Championship Booker © vs. RVD HHH vs. HBK Rock vs. Jericho (Rock will return to put over this guy, no problem. If he requests it, Vince will follow suit) World Tag Championship Storm/Regal vs. the Dudleys But with where their at, Steiner/HHH is the only thing that can be speculated on. The four-way takes away from Angle's run for the title IMO. Pay attention. That was why I said earlier that it would have to be in the upper midcard, followed by something that cools down the crowd then an epic Dream Match quality main event over the Raw title. The only problem is that Raw is in nowhere near enough shape to have a real Dream Match unless they make some additions soon. I don't read SD spoilers and it's not on for another hour here, but putting Steiner on SD is not a good idea, and putting Austin on SD or not moving Hogan or Rock to Raw would be even worse. Guest Brian Report post Posted December 6, 2002 I think they should move Undertaker and Rock. But it still doesn't really create anything fresh and must see that could attain WrestleMania main event quality like SmackDown. I don't even no if Steiner can do that, or if he'll be healthy enough. But it still takes away from Angle's winning the title and Brock being beat.

Guest thetrendsetter Report post Posted December 6, 2002 90% Capacity at an event should be considered a success on almost all levels (In arenas over like 10000) if the WWE sells 85-95 % Of SafeCo. Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted December 6, 2002 WrestleMania is the conclusion of everything that happens in the year of wrestling it represents. Look for Rey to get an important win over a heavyweight, Edge to finally soldify his place as a Main Eventer, HHH, Lesnar, Angle, RVD, jericho, and Benoit will all have important contests. Nash MAY be back but IT ISN'T LIKELY, so thank God for small favors.
