Guest KingOfOldSchool Report post Posted December 5, 2002 I've been wanting to get into techno, trance, drum n bass, house and all that crap for the longest time, but didn't know where to start. So I'm asking anyone that can help, to recommend a few artists that I can check out during my downloading binge today.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted December 5, 2002 (Ooh! Someone wants my help!) Okay, first off, Drum and Bass is an acquired taste that I have yet to acquire, so I can't recommend any particular people. Trance: Get "Virtua Trancer" and "Heaven Scent" by John Digweed, as well as "Binary Finary," by the Ministry of Sound. "Greece 2000" is also a good track. I'm sure you've heard "Sandstorm" before, but I'll throw it in here anyway. General Dance: Daft Punk = GOOD. "One More Time," "Superheroes," and "Digital Love" are all gravy, baby. Also, get "I'll Fly With You" by Gigi D'Agostino, preferably the "Pimp Remix" if you can find it. Anything off the A Night At The Roxbury soundtrack is good clubby stuff, so get that too. General Techno: Paul Van Dyk, Oakenfold, Louie DeVito, all good names. If you've got any particular questions or a want to have an AWESOME showcase of these forms of music, get to me on AIM and I'll hook you up. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest HungryJack Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Paul Oakenfold rocks it. The radio 1 broadcast of Live in China I have from like 3 years ago is 2 solid hours of owning.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Anything by DJ Skribbles is pretty good. "Feel the Drugs" and "Rock Your Body" are two of my favs. Darude has a lot of great techno songs out there as well.
