Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 6, 2002 Good review. The WWF clipped the Piper's Pit segment off the re-release WWF Home Video version.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted March 6, 2002 That's odd since I reviewed the legacy version and it had Piper's Pit.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 6, 2002 That's interesting. Mine doesn't have Piper's Pit.

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted March 6, 2002 I know the WWF released two box sets so maybe one has it and one doesn't.
Guest DEEP THOUGHT Report post Posted March 6, 2002 This doesn't really belong in this thread, but it's a few bits in Wrestlemania V that I figured some of you might find interesting. - In the opening match between Haku and Hercules, Bobby Heenan is circling the ring with Haku's crown in hand. When he walks in front of Donald Trump on the far side of the screen, he points to Haku in the ring and says "He's a millionaire too". - Second match, when Bossman and Michaels are in the ring. Akeem is on the apron (far side) and says to Slick. "Wazzup Slickster!". Slick responds "Do you know what we need...is a black referee in there!" You'll have to listen closely for this one because the camera isn't on Slick when he says that; it's just picked up by a microphone. - Rougeau Brothers vs. the Bushwackers. Raymond Rougeau bodyslams Luke at one point. It's notable because Luke grabs Ray Rougeau's "Package" with his free right hand. It's quite noticable, though obviously neither Gorilla or Jesse pointed it out. There's probably more, but I only watched the first 50 minutes or so of this show when I noticed all of the above. Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 6, 2002 Mine has Piper's Pit too.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 6, 2002 That kind sucks to hear one may have it, while the other doesn't. I think they even had a picture of Piper & Downey, but I'm too lazy to check my tape.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 7, 2002 Mine has a picture of Piper spraying Downey on the back, yes. It has the segment too. I did a review of it when this board first opened. The other pictures are of Savage giving the Flying Elbow to Hogan, and of Warrior clotheslining Rude over the top.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted March 7, 2002 Mine doesn't have it, but it has a pic of it and it is listed in the little booklet that comes with it.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 7, 2002 Yeah it mentions it in my booklet too.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted March 7, 2002 If you look at WrestleMania 12 in the booklet they mention the tag-title match, which isn't on the tape. The WWF sure knows how to screw up, eh?
Guest JHawk Report post Posted March 7, 2002 Mine does have Piper's Pit, and while I'm glad it does because I like having complete shows, I find the segment overrated, particularly the Morton Downey Jr. stuff. The Brother Love stuff is classic, but I got the feeling Downey didn't want to be there. And my version of XII has the Tag Team Title match listed on the box, and of course it's not there since it was actually on the Free for All. Good thing I have my PPV master so I can watch the whole card.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 7, 2002 My booklet also mentions Huckster vs. Nacho Man for Wrestlemania XII.
