Guest GameCop Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 With Armageddon right around the corner, we have these confirmed PPV matches to look forward to: -HHH vs. HBK - World Title -Angle vs. Show- WWE Title -Eddy G vs. Benoit - match of the night -Edge vs. Albert in a match that will feature the beginning of Albert's monster push. - Kane vs. Batista - Steiner's decision: Raw or Smackdown? We'll probably see: -Jericho/Christian vs. Booker/Dust vs. Dudleys vs. 3MW with Bookdust finally going over Jericho/Christian to win the tag titles. - RVD vs. Lance Storm Obviously, Angle is slated for knee surgery following his bout with Show, which, of course, means that Angle is jobbing. Albert will trounce Edge, because Edge is also scheduled for knee surgery in the near future. That's right, folks...Albert is going to be pushed down our collective throats until he becomes a bona fide main-eventer. I smell Brock vs. Albert for the WWE title at NWO 2003, which will follow the second epic showdown between Brock and Big Show at RR 2003. And, Batista will obliterate Kane, en route to becoming another Hossmain eventer. Who are the fans clamoring for? Booker and RVD. Who does WWE push? Albert and Batista. This company is going to fall by the wayside in early 2004. Count on it.
Guest Repo Man jr Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Where did RVD vs Storm come from? I'd like that.
Guest GameCop Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 JR wants to see a feud between the two.
Guest DragonflyKid Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 The Edge/Albert match has the potential to be good if they use the formula that made the Sting/Vader series so good. I'm not saying Albert is on Vader's level but the potential to be very good is there IMO. It's time, it's time, it's Albert time!
Paul Stanley Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Albert will never, ever be on Vader's level.
Guest GameCop Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Vader had a bad ass image. What does Albert have? Hair on his back and a really big head. People don't give a shit about Albert. They never will.
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 All those matches are confirmed? I thought only the world title matches were.
Guest GameCop Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 The first 5 and steiner's decision are confirmed.
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 did wwe announce it and I just missed it?
Guest DragonflyKid Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 I'm not saying he ever will be on Vader's level but I do think he could be a very good Vader-type monster. The Backhair, trunks and name do have to go though so people can take him seriously. He's still very young so who's to say he'll never achieve success?
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Edge vs Albert? LOL! They better turn that into a tag match somehow. I know Rey's gone, but grab some Velocitites or something. I'm going to go ahead and guess Kidman and Tajiri vs Noble and Nunzio just because I'm in the mood, though. Although they might save that for next month. Speaking of which, did anybody notice how "Raw and SmackDown present Armageddon by (sponsor)?" I wonder if Rumble will be all-SD, and No Way Out All-Raw? I don't think they even have the rosters for that.
Guest spiny norman Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 What's wrong with backhair?
Guest GameCop Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Well, they're confirmed according to the Internet wrestling pundits (Keller, Meltzer, Marek, yada yada)
Guest wwF1587 Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 All they need now is to rename the ppv CrApAgeddon and viola...
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 ic..sorry, but I was in denial over Albert vs. Edge. Poor, poor Edge...
Guest DJ Jeff Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 I for one am somewhat glad to see the WWE finally pushing someone new. True, Albert isn't the greatest wrestler, but still.
Guest deadbeater Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Victoria vs. Jacqueline--Molly is guest referee. Prediction: Jacqueline wins by DQ, but not before getting knocked out by Victoria by a chair. Molly stops Victoria from inflicting more damage. Victoria responds by giving Molly one of the worst post-match beatings ever. Jacqueline recovers and decide to save Molly.
Guest Anglesault Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 ic..sorry, but I was in denial over Albert vs. Edge. Poor, poor Edge... Hey Chick, I'll make a deal with you. We both go to Crappageedon. We pull GHAST~! moves. I kill Albert, you kill Big Show. Since The WWF obviously visits this site (They book to piss us off) They know I'm the Angle fan and you're the Edge fan. Now here's where the brilliance comes in. Since we are killing the OTHER person's favorite wrestler's opponent, we will throw the WWF for a loop trying to figure out what happened, and by that time, we'll be gone.
Guest bob_barron Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 If WWE visits this board and books to "piss us off" then why is Regal getting a push? I mean the odds are they had to see one of my 9,021 Regal posts
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Its brilliant...sheer brilliance. Sure, it would be kinda hard for a 120 pound girl to kill a 500 pound fat ass, but I'll find a way...
Guest Anglesault Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 If WWE visits this board and books to "piss us off" then why is Regal getting a push? I mean the odds are they had to see one of my 9,021 Regal posts Does anyone else remember my rant on how the onlything that could make Edge/Angle worse would be hair vs. hair? The match was booked like two weeks later.
Guest wwF1587 Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 I love how RVD has gone from main event back to mid card in one pedigree. If this is true, I am just going to laugh at how stupid Vince really is.
Guest cabbageboy Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Why exactly does everyone think that Albert is going to kill Edge? Hell I just think he is a job boy to give Edge something to do in between his actual feuds. Albert isn't over, and he won't ever be over.
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 I'm interested of what they will do with RVD. He has to do something, right? Logic sez that he will be thrown in the main event after getting screwed out of the title and the number one conterder spot all in one week. But wwe does seem to = logic these days, so what will he do?
Guest Anglesault Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Why exactly does everyone think that Albert is going to kill Edge? Hell I just think he is a job boy to give Edge something to do in between his actual feuds. Couldn't say, ANYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD be used?
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Oh, don't mistake me, I'm pretty confident that Edge will win, but does that really help anyone? Think about it: Albert jobs, goes back to lower-midcard/Velocity, Edge is facing someone a step down from who he has been facing lately, so the win won't prove anything, and the match will likely suck.
LaParkaYourCar Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Why exactly does everyone think that Albert is going to kill Edge? Hell I just think he is a job boy to give Edge something to do in between his actual feuds. Albert isn't over, and he won't ever be over. Because I think they want Albert to look strong until Rey comes back so they can have a Rey vs. Albert match. Here's what I think the card will be: (anyone know where the old prediction thread went so I can compare this to my last one?) HHH vs. HBK Angle vs. Big Show Albert vs. Edge Benoit vs. Eddy Jericho/Christian vs. The Dudleyz Kane vs. Batista Possibles: Kidman vs. Noble w/ Nunzio in his corner, and John Cena vs. Rikishi
Guest treble charged Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Think about it this way, Albert's big, and if they build him up as a big monster over the course of a few weeks, or so, and Edge beats him (which he most surely will), it looks better on Edge than exacting revenge on a smaller wreslter, or, at least one smaller than Edge is. Man, that was a long sentence.
Guest Anglesault Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 HHH vs. HBK Angle vs. Big Show Albert vs. Edge Benoit vs. Eddy Jericho/Christian vs. The Dudleyz Kane vs. Batista Look Ma, a shitfest!

Man, that was a long sentence. Good plan, except that they only have one more show to build the match. And I would think that Angle/Big Show will get more of a buildup.
