Guest Paranoid Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 I'm sorry, but all these people counting The Lakers out this early in the season are pathetic. I might eat these words come June 2003, but I can admit it if I am wrong. I just think that as long as they make it to the playoffs they will step up when it's needed. They have the fire power and the only team that can possibly stop them is Dallas. Sacramento just doesn't have what it takes to be a championship team. And if Dallas keeps playing the 2-3 zone then Kobe will shoot their eyes out! What do you guys think?
Guest Vern Gagne Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 It's December 7th for christ sakes. What's the point of talking about the NBA playoffs. The comeback by the Lakers is what should be discussed. Largest 4th quarter comeback of all time. We'll see if this waskes the Lakers up.
Guest Paranoid Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Largest 4th quarter comeback of all time. If that's not a 4 time Champion caliber team I don't know what its.
Guest alkeiper Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Sacramento just doesn't have what it takes to be a championship team. Why not?
Guest jimmy no nose Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 It was actually the second largest 4th quarter comeback of all time. In 1977 the Bucks had a 28 point comeback, this one was 27. Still incredible, especially considering they were playing against the leagues top team record-wise. I was ready to turn the game off at half time, but I stayed through to the end and am glad I did.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Largest 4th quarter comeback of all time. If that's not a 4 time Champion caliber team I don't know what its. I'd say a 4 time Champion caliber team is onw with a little depth. You know, one that doesn't need 2 players to win any games. If either one of them goes down for any length of time they'll fall back again and prove just how bad they really are. And another thing, fuck Phil Jackson, I could take Kobe, Shaq, 4 white guys, a midget, and the retarded kid Corky from Life goes on and win an NBA championship...that's pretty much how he's doing it anyway.
Guest Rob Van Dam Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 last time i looked shaq and kobe didn't win any championships until phil jackson came in as a coach, he taught them to play together.
Guest razazteca Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Kobe had 4 points at half time, then in the 4th quarter he had 20 points, he won the game.
Guest The Man in Blak Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Personally, I feel it's more like Dallas figured out how to lose than the Lakers pulling off the ridiculous comeback. Between a myriad of turnovers (Nash, I'm looking at YOU) and just bizarre shot selection, it's no wonder the Mavericks just couldn't score to save their lives in the fourth.
Guest razazteca Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 the Mavs were 70% in 3 pointers until the 4th Quarter, too bad the Mavs had problems with Offensive Rebounds in the quarter. Nash going down the middle for lay ups was not a major problem, until the final minutes.
Guest Ripper Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 The problem was EVERYBODY was hot...every body...except Michael Finley. So then comes the 4th adn Kobe starts scorching and the ONE guy that wasn't hot starts trying to go shot for shot with Kobe. What was he 8-20 something. Nick Van Excel and Nash were the only guys that were still playing in the 4th.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted December 13, 2002 Report Posted December 13, 2002 And the Lake (No)Show has come and gone after that debacle against the Warriors... Hahaha...I love it, I hope they keep losing and miss the playoffs.
Guest Paranoid Posted December 13, 2002 Report Posted December 13, 2002 They won't miss the playoffs.
