Guest thetrendsetter Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 So... we're at the 1/3rd point of the season, and the bruins are dominating the east with a playoff spot assured, barring complete collapse... Any picks for the winners of the confrences??? Anyone think Dallas will hold on in the west... This is an american board, does anyone even WATCH Hockey down there?
Guest treble charged Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Well, it doesn't appear that many people are going to the Bruins' games, despite the fact that they are off to such as awesome start. It's even more surprising, because they lost their starting goalie (Dafoe) and one of their top forwards (Guerin). The East is, as always, wide open, and Boston could probably win it again for the 2nd year in a row, but they are an unproven play-off team with 2 unproven play-off goalies. Not really a recipe for success. As for the West, I don't think Vancouver can keep up this pace for the entire year, but they will definitely make the play-offs and maybe win their division, snapping Colorado's streak of however many straight division titles, dating back to Quebec, but Dallas seems to have a good team and have bounced back nicely after missing last year's play-offs. However, they are in the same boat as Boston, as they don't have a proven play-off goalie, either. Of course, though, the Leafs are going to win the Cup, just like they were going to last year, and the year before that, and the year before that...
Guest D'Lo White Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 I watch hockey. But the Rangers suck, so what's the point. I think they may go another 54 years without the cup.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Chicago was doing pretty good until they fell apart on that road trip and lost to everybody. Now they're 10 points behind the Red Wings.
Guest cartman Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 make that 18-4-4-1 baby! Beautiful comeback win just now over Tampa Bay ended by Nick Boynton's GW Overtime goal. Fitting too for Boynton since he was by far the best Defenseman on the ice for this particular game. Incredible!
Guest Phr33k Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Actually, it's 18-4-3-1, but same dif. <-------
Guest cartman Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 My bad ur right lol...I was just adding on to what he said in the topic because I thought it was right.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 Didn't the Bruians have the best record in the East last season. Look what happened last season.

Guest Max Danger Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 Didn't the Bruians have the best record in the East last season. Look what happened last season. I was going to say the exact same thing. Though I was going to add, "GO FLYERS!" at the end. GO FLYERS!!! See.
