Guest Luke Cage Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Rebel wrestler vs evil promoter/owner Surprise appearances from wrestlers who "don't work for the promotion" Backstage skits Long in ring interview segments On screen commissioners who make matches/grant title matches on the fly Championship belts used as weapons There must be some I missed...
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 The Kliq should go away for ever. Why can't anyone see that the two worst periods of WWE we can remember are now and when Diesel was on top. The two Kliq eras are killing you Vince. PAY ATTENTION
TheFranchise Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Surprise appearances from wrestlers who "don't work for the promotion" Damn it, when was the last time this even happened?
Guest D'Lo White Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Triple Threat matches Fat guys who dance and stick their ass in people faces
Guest deadbeater Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Molly Holly not on Raw... Folmulaic booking
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 squashing all the cruisers when they face bigger wrestlers... then having them go back to wrestling each other in competitive matches and not being able to understand why no one cares.
Guest Nevermortal Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 The heels who's basis for their push is "I Want Respect!" The Customary "Job Upon Arriving" run in the WWE Short Title Reigns HHH
Guest Ace309 Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 The low-blow DQ. The beltshot finish. Lawler.
Guest razazteca Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Low Blow DQ should be enforced more but only in elimation style matches Lawler does need to go, bring in Tazz or Ernest Miller!
Guest BoboBrazil Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 All women's wrestling. Mixed tag matches.
Guest Nevermortal Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 One more: The idea that bigger = better.
Guest dreamer420 Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 Blaming HHH for everything wrong in the WWE.
Tully316 Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 the assumption that I want to see a McMahon on my TV screen (except maybe Shane) Triple H plaing the evil heel who wants cheers. Flair got that because he backed it up in the ring, Triple H just can't work anymore Jericho and RVD curtain jerking puppies, stinkfaces, divas. What do I want to come back? Managers/valets true tag teams IC belt True Heel/face fueds.... none of this tweener shit stables more sneak attacks, beatdowns....but not in matches. matches that last longer than it takes for me to take a shit and some other stuff I can't recall right now
Guest ElectricRaccoon Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 Using the opponent's finisher for a two-count. Sometimes it's cool, but it's been done to excess in the past couple years.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 Here's an idea I have... Remove the ban on piledrivers.
Guest Ram Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 Sexuality-related storylines, angles, and gimmicks (excluding a well-executed heterosexual love triangle and a heterosexual wrestler/manager/partner. No offense to homosexuals, though. It's just that it seems as though homosexuality and wrestling can't mix.) Fireballs and colored mist. Hold up the reality. THE LACK OF KAYFABE. THE LACK OF KAYFABE. I don't care if you want to treat us with intelligence. I'd rather be treated like an idiot to be given the chance of believing it again. Too much comedy. Faces who part time work as comics.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 Tag Champs who hate each other- I can't say how much that angle annoys me.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 HHH being in the main event. Place him in the mid card position for awhile, while having RVD hold him down. See how he likes it. No more Big Show as WWE Champion.
LaParkaYourCar Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 Silly reasons for feuds. Excessive Ref bumps The Stink Face Wrestlers in Production meetings Hosses with no redeeming value
Guest midnight_burn Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 The "push the big vanilla hoss as a monster" push needs to go away, now.
Guest Anglesault Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 Ditto. Along with "If we keep trying with Test, eventually we will break the fans collective wills and they will accept him"
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 Fat people Women Feuds revolving around some percieved slight, like mispronouncing someone's name or a coffee burn. the lack of people being dropped on thier skulls. Stealing finishers to cap off a personal and heated 3 week feud over accidently bumping into a guy in the shower or something. backstage ~ANYTHING~
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 Throwaway shows. You have 3-4 weeks between PPVs. Use that time. Lack of hype. They never make it seem like you HAVE to watch a particular show anymore. Every PPV should be made out to be the greatest thing ever. Jobbing guys with new gimmicks. Someone mentioned new wrestlers, but this follows as well. Fresh gimmicks like Cena & Matt (they don't even have to be good, just new) should beat tired ones like Rikishi. Jobbing just kills any interest right from the start.
Guest Anglesault Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 Feuds revolving around some percieved slight, like mispronouncing someone's name or a coffee burn. Mispronouncing someone's name? This is something I've blocked out, isn't it.
Guest buffybeast Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 squashing all the cruisers when they face bigger wrestlers... then having them go back to wrestling each other in competitive matches and not being able to understand why no one cares. While I don't think it's right that a hoss squash a cruiser ever, I do think it is a bit unrealistic for someone like Rey to beat a huge wrestler like Brock or Big Show. I think a fan would not be able to suspend belief while watching someone Rey's size beat up someone Brock's size.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 That actually happened? It was just an example. Although I guess you could argue every Jericho feud before last year. Throwaway shows. You have 3-4 weeks between PPVs. Use that time. This is the worst. They have like eight shows maxx to prepare the ppv, and half of them are loaded with lesbians, McMahons, zany backstage antics, and of course, intergender tag matches.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted December 8, 2002 Report Posted December 8, 2002 It's all in the conditioning. I can watch someone like Royce Gracie beat much bigger men in real fighting...so if they put Rey over bigger guys in fake wrestling (without the commentators making it sound like it's the biggest upset ever) people will be conditioned to beleive it.
