Guest EricMM Report post Posted December 10, 2002 Well it was an interesting RAW. Jericho was in the ME and HHH wasn't. LANCE F'N STORM was in the ME and HHH wasn't. "You mistake my humility for weakness!?" -HBK Since when was HBK humble? Sigh...
Guest RicFlairGlory Report post Posted December 10, 2002 I think he was referring to how HBK walked away from the ring earlier in the show.
Guest Quik Report post Posted December 10, 2002 Anyone think that last line "How dare you mistake my humility for weakness?" was directed towards the smarks? d00der! tHe WwE ArE DiSsiNG US~!

Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted December 10, 2002 I thought the ME was pretty good, and let the show end on a good note. However, I do worry about how Victoria got dropped on her head by Bubba. Not good times for a body.
Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted December 10, 2002 Shawn's elbow drop off the truck would have been awesome...if they didn't do a closeup after of him and Trips snuggly laying in plush cushioning. It was pretty funny to watch Shawn make this inspirational speech at the end of the show with little packing strips hanging off his face and shirt.
Guest deadbeater Report post Posted December 10, 2002 Good: Bookdust teased a breakup, then made up. Flair's semi-shoot promo. Kane out-Valled Val. All right Victoria! Drawing Bubba red juice and taking the table--from Trish no less. Good job. HBK finally doing a ticket-selling promo. too little too late? We'll see. Minus: HHH rubbing it in on Jeff Hardy and HBK. Ha Ha it backfired. RVD segment in Bischoff's room. Very stupid of Bisch not to press on RVD who he was talking to. Three Minutes--heh they about take that long before they burn out. Rico should get out of the group. And, most of all, no Molly. <Snif> Ok raw, anyway.
Guest Quik Report post Posted December 10, 2002 I thought it sucked, and I was very bored almost at all times.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted December 10, 2002 The Show ended with the horrible 'death defying' leap by HBK. I mean really, no one buys it - we can all see the padding. You either do it right, or you don't do it at all. Anything less is insulting. Other than that, a good show.

Guest Ram Report post Posted December 10, 2002 RAW: THE EXTRA SUPER HARD SELL And it wasn't all that great, minus a few backstage segments (Jericho/RVD), Bookerdust, and the British-Canadian connection. Everything else was pretty blah. I think I'll pass on this PPV unless Smackdown has a great offer. I just don't feel like seeing HHH-HBK for the bagillionth time. Good for nostalgia the first time, alright the second, but now they're milking a really bad feud.

Guest bcu1979 Report post Posted December 10, 2002 This show was worse than all the necrophillia/HLA crap they could ever come up with. This show was a perfect showcase for everything wrong with the WWE product. At least with those shows, it's easy to bitch about how stupid the WWE is and how clueless they are about their product. But this show was worse because they did a tremendous job building up the Triple H/Shawn Michaels egofest on Sunday. The WWE knows how to build up programs. But, how come it only chooses to do so when it involves Triple H and his BUTT buddy? Ric Flair has been collecting dust for months. He never got any mic time during his feuds with Chris Jericho and RVD. He's just stood around and played Hunter's butler. All of a sudden they give him this big interview and he nails it. But the only point of the interview was to put over Shawn Michaels and Triple H and bury everyone else as being beneath them. Why didn't he ever cut those kind of promos about Jericho or RVD? That shot of Triple H laying motionless among the confetti was strong. (Granted, it would have been stronger if it didn't look like he was taking a nap) Why didn't RVD or Jericho or Angle ever lay out Triple H like that? Do you know how over someone could have been if Hunter would have sold half as much for them as he did for buddy Michaels? Yeah, it was nice that the main event was used to get over the tag title match and the women's title match. But it's hard to get excited when they bury the two strongest teams going into the match. Yeah, Bookdust jobbing had a storyline reason for once. But their loss deflated the crowd once again. Does anyone (besides the Regal fans) care about the Storm/Regal team? And a Goldust heel turn looks to be on the horizon. And as funny as Jericho and Christian are, they are burying them by trying to turn them into nothing more than comedy characters. Vitamin Wee? What wit. That will really get Jericho over as a heel. They could make this interesting by pairing Jericho and Trish up, but I doubt they are headed in that direction. And the most popular wrestler on the show - RVD - went from wrestling for the title to feuding with 3 Minute Warning. The show did a tremendous job building up the PPV main event, but it did an even better job of exposing the political bullshit that's ruining the WWE at the moment. Guest razazteca Report post Posted December 10, 2002 I am so angry that they ran a commercial during the Main Event.....RIGHT BEFORE a table spot and it even caught the announcers by suprise as they did not give any warning at all, like the classic Tony Schiavonie line "the video machines are rolling" overall the show was good in my opinion bysides the commercials screwing up the matches and the clusterf*ck lockerroom run in at the Main Event, which smells like Paul E booked it and got too excited letting everybody run in. The final segment with HBK playing in the garbage was not necessary either. best part of the show was Ric Flair telling Shawn Michaels that he is not the Man anymore, Lost Smile Version 2 was great. Did anyone else laugh themselves silly when Flair said HBK should pass the torch to Hunter its the perfect set up for the formation of the new 4 Horseman. Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted December 10, 2002 All I could think about during Raw was a Krusty the Clown sketch. The one where he said in 1969 man landed on the moon, a couple years later man landed on the moon again, then for a while nothing else happened until tonight. Seriously we are supposed to believe that Ric Flair was the man, then Shawn Michaels was the man, then for a while no one else was the man (we will ignore Rock and Austin I guess) until tonight when HHH was apparently declared the man. That's Helmsley Era WWE Revisionist History. Remember also, HHH could have saved WWE if Bischoff had him on his watch. Which he didn't, they said so. In fact, I don't think he ever was in WCW, even... No, really! (Groan...BS) I think the Rock and Austin characters are supposed to be dead to the WWE right now. Nevermind the Austin Raw Retros, of course...
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted December 10, 2002 It was a good show, I can't really think of anything that was terrible about it, but it there wasn't much that was super special either. The whole thing at the end was kind of silly, but I was laughing at the sight of HHH in garbage... Im still left wondering how they could not have a match for RVD at the PPV. Maybe Kane/RVD vs 3MW as a last minute addition?
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2002 My favorite part was the backstage Y2J/Xstain/Vicky bit: "No one puts that bitch through a table, but me!" (stares into the distance) *Jericho and Christain stare in the same direction, looking confused* I pray that got that off Cannibal: The Musical but I doubt it. Guest geniusMoment Report post Posted December 10, 2002 Up until Flair mentioned HHH and the torch I felt his promo was classic. I wish I was taping this raw just for that promo, it reminded me of 1996 when HBK won the title. For all the talk about wrestlers and the glass ceiling, I admit I have been one of the people complaining, I now realize that none of the wrestlers mentioned hold a candle to Ric and if they were even half as good as the nature boy was in is prime no one could hold them back. Guest RedJed Report post Posted December 10, 2002 Yah about the "passing the torch" thing, I got a good laugh from that since that whole concept is based on a established star (and in most cases, a seasoned veteran) doing the job for an upcoming star who needs the win to elevate them to a whole new level. How they could compare HHH-HBK to that is beyond me. Hunter is already well established and Michaels already passed the torch in his Mania match with Austin, basically. I'm assuming the crack staff on the Raw writing team wrote than whole "Torch" line......way to go guys, you continue to show you have NO FUCKING IDEA how to write a wrestling show. How they let things go like this is ridiculous. Other than that though (and Flair's verbal blowjob to HHH) that promo by Flair would have added great momentum to most any big time match except this one, simply because this feud saw it's true blowoff at Survivor Series. As you heard the crowd (or should I say didn't hear them) they could give a fuck less about this match on the ppv, even with all the stips in the world added to it. Like others have already said, any momentum the Flair promo had then was blown at the end of the show with that weak angle. If they wanted to do that whole thing, they should have just pretaped the thing and MADE it look more real, by however means. Instead we get that. HHH looked like was literally asleep and comfy laying in that bed of cushion to end the show. Sure didn't look like he got "his ass kicked." Nice hardly-sell job of the shovel shot too, BTW. Only real positive to me of the show..........RNN, baby, RNN.
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted December 10, 2002 Really? I probably would have fallen asleep if I hadn't gone back to studying like I should have been the entire time. It was just so long and ridiculously aimless. I know Rick likes to build up drama into his promos, but if I had the energy I would have been yelling at him to "MOVE THE F*** ON ALREADY!!" because I was tired of him repeating himself. Not to mention that it was total revisionist history for the entire past few months that has supposedly lead up to this "blow off" for the fued. I mean, first Shawn is the old vet trying to prove he has a bit of the magic left, and then he's "the man" who needs to defend his spot against the young rookie punk HHH? It's like they want us to forget the last four months of storyline but order the epic "final confrontation" between the two anyway. Well forget that, and forget that entire pay per view, for that matter. After being unable to sit through Smackdown last week and generally being borred out of my mind watching Raw tonight, I've pretty much decided to go cold Turkey and wash my hands of the whole deal. I've got way too many classes to study for to waste my time on a company that has supposedly "seen the light" as far shock TV goes, yet still produces crap on levle with Russo's worst ideas. Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted December 10, 2002 Kind of Ironic that Flair is telling HBK to give it up even though Flair drudged on for about 15 years too long. Oh and shouldn't it be Triple passing the torch to Jericho or RVD. I mean HBK passed the torch already(as mentioned by others already). When did HBK get the torch back? Also, why does the WWE think anyone cares about another match between these two guys, HBK is 2-0, and he has already got his "revenge" at summerslam, and won the title at Survivor Series, so what exactly is the point of this match, oh wait, to put Triple H over,(AGAIN) oops I forgot......Meanwhile, RVD is driven into oblivion, almost getting fed to Batista alive. I like how Val and Flair no-sold his inquiry about why Triple H cheating was ignored so blatantly last week. For RVD's troubles he gets to be hand fed to Batista, while Jeff FUCKING Hardy gets a match with Triple H....wow RAW is one HELL OF A SHOW~!
Guest Hybrid420 Report post Posted December 10, 2002 Dude.. the only thing about Raw that pissed me off was that the wrestlers didn't say the wrestlers didnt shamelessly plug the title of the Armageddon theme song in their promos... o wait.... THE END IS NEAR
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted December 10, 2002 I swear, if it wasn't for Jericho, I wouldn't even watch Raw. I only watched the Second hour of Raw, and that dragged except for the Tables Match.
