Angle still doesn't have a WrestleMania opponent, and though it looks like they're definitely heading towards Angle/Kane, is it possible they'll give him a different opponent at WM? Could Benoit be bullshitting about not being ready until April or May? It's not too late to get out of Angle/Kane yet. They've only ran in on each other's matches, and an Angle/Benoit match wouldn't need to be built up a lot to appeal to the fans. Highly unlikely, but just a thought.

I doubt it's Beniot even though I'd prefer to see Angle/Beniot than Angle/Kane. Nothing against Kane; he is one of my favorites but they just don't give him any credibility anymore. Right now he's just the jobber to the "WWF Superstars" AKA the Main Eventers' bitch. I remember when Kane took three ga'damn Tombstone Piledrivers to put away, now he takes a chairshot and "Oh mah Gawd! He's out cold! Call the EMTs!" ...and that's when they're putting him over.

 

Back to Beniot, I think he's shootin' when he says he won't be back 'til later, but you never know with the WWF...

It could be. The torch or the Observer reported that Angle is the backup opponent for Austin in case Hall falls apart. They would have to announce the Kane - Angle match soon officially if they are going ahead with it, maybe tomorrow.

Just in general, they are waiting so long to announce the Wrestlemania matches, it's ridiculous.

 

Benoit/Angle would be so damn great.. We could get the ****1/2 match on this card that we're looking for, but then again it would be Benoit's first match back, would he be able to go 100%, and, this is all extremely wishful thinking to entertain this thought in the first place   Angle vs. Kane.. SIGH.

Nash makes sense but there is a built in storyline with Angle/Austin but It's too late to question if Hall can make it to WM...

That's interesting, but then again Nash has looked by far the worst out of the 3 in the NWO run-ins.. it sure doesn't look like he'd be ready to work a Wrestlemania co-main event yet.  

 

But Choken is right, it looks like Hall is pretty much locked in now.  I guess whatever Angle's match is, it'll be announced on Smackdown

You can bet your hard earned dollar its Angle/Kane.

 

The two have put on pretty nice matches together, and the WWF wants to give Kane a program since he really has been under-used as of late.  He has enough credibility to go at the upper-mid card and Angle can carry him easily.

 

I could see this as a nice match that would be enjoyable, but the WWF really needs to hard sell this from now on to get the emotion into it.  I want to see some kiler promos.

 

Why doesn't the WWF bring back those cool, flashy video promos from years before?  Remember the Austin ones before WM13?  Remember the Tazz video right after his debut with a bunch of shadows of himself emerging from him?  Those kick ass and could strengthen the feud if done right.

 

If there is one thing the WWF can do its produce a sweet looking promo.

Yeah Hall seems to have cleared his probabtion, so we should get Angle-Kane announced and maybe, just maybe we can get Nash something to do at WM to earn that fat paycheck.

I read that Nash and the WWF have agreed that he won't be doing much wrestling at all because of his knees..and the fact that he sucks.

 

Good News:  No world title for Nash.

 

Bad News:  He's getting paid more than most of the roster to stand around...while the rest of the roster busts their ass.

Yeah i read that about his kness but he still gets paid high and a payoff equal to someone wrestling on the third biggest match. the salary I can somewhat swallow as its guaranteed and if hes "hurt" what can you do, but why should he get a bonus equal to Hall or Austin (especially Austin) for just being there ?? Im sure the other guys who will bust their asses on some undercard for less bonus (or not be on the show at all) can't be too happy with that.

Please dont ever put the words "world title" and "Nash" in the same sentence again. I had a horrible vision of HHH taking a fingerpoke on Raw 031802.

I'm not sure if he's not gonna wrestle much at all or if they think he just isn't ready yet.  As bad as his matches are, I'd still want to see him working matches eventually, it would just seem silly after a while if he never did, he would come off as the useless member of the NWO  (save your snide comments there)

They've already given Angle/Kane away for free on TV several times, so does anyone else think that there may be a stipulation?

 

I can see a 2/3 falls, Ironman, or Submission stipulation being added to the match.  And with so few matches announced already, they'll need something that can "go long".  I just hope that it's not Austin/Hall or Rock/Hogan that they expect to "go long"!

 

As far as Nash, I can't see him just being an adviser/lackey to Hogan and Hall.  If he's motivated enough, he can put on a decent showing, like the Cage Match with Booker T., or his angle with the Natural Born Thrillers in recent years.  I'm no huge Nash fan by any means, but if he gets off his lazy ass once in a while, he can put on a good show.  I'd say he's back in the ring by summer, building to some type of "dream match" (Triple H vs. Nash, Austin vs. Nash) as Summerslam.

I could see Kane - Angle as submission.

Angle could boast how he's already made Kane tap before and you could have some mystery over what Kane would use as a submission. Maybe Kane could learn a move you dont see too often and win with it to get the move over. maybe some move not seen in the US yet, or not being used currently (Any japaneese fans have any suggestions on somethin that he could pull off?).
