Guest Redhawk Report post Posted December 10, 2002 Now we know that on RAW, Bischoff is a bad guy. He puts fan favorites like RVD, Kane, and Shawn Michaels in difficult situations that cater to heels like Batista, 3MW, and HHH. he's hired Val Venis as his right-hand man, who is obviously a heel. Okay. No argument there. But what about Steph? First she makes things difficult for fan favorite Brock Lesnar (I still can't figure out what the actual REASON was for the "stay away from Big Show"/suspension thing), but then she chews out heels like Paul Heyman and Kurt Angle. Then she whores herself out to Scott Steiner (to a babyface pop), but will look like a heel when Steiner signs with RAW eventually. So what's the deal with her? Are they doing test runs on Steph the Babyface before actually pulling the trigger? Or do they not know what they're doing. Oh, and have you heard anything more ironic then Steph's theme song? It's talking about "I earned my spot," and "No one handed me nothing." What's up with THAT?
Guest mickberna Report post Posted December 10, 2002 Whatever she is, she needs to leave TV unless she's taking off her clothes. Despite her always whiny voice, I do miss "tramp" Stephanie. ... someone post a pic of tramp Stephanie, please.

ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2002 I have a theory... Before the Steph/Bisch Halloween kiss, Bisch was full Heel, Steph was full face. During the kiss...the two traded a bit of their status to the other. Why Bisch sometimes does face things, and Steph sometimes does heel things. If they kiss again, full role reversal. Guest converge241 Report post Posted December 10, 2002 who knows sometimes even Bischoff stands up to the heels for no reason. what kiss? thats apparently been retroactively erased from existence i yearn for the days of no constant owner/gm/chief/commisioner/adviser on air gimme jack tunney or Gorilla making important announcements once in a whil and thats it
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted December 10, 2002 Remember when Regal gave HHH a verbal asskicking on this one SD! during the 2-Man Power Trip? The crowd was just in stunned silence hasd Regal berated Hunter. That was awesome!
Guest converge241 Report post Posted December 10, 2002 Ok Chris Farley Regal had some moments in that role
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted December 10, 2002 Steph seems so content with turning on the heat machines for both heel and face reactions that no one can figuer it out. But remember, Paul Heyman doesn't write any of the backstage stuff anymore, so "Aunt Flow" wasn't his fault. He's a Super Genius, you know.

It's totally unnecessary to move most matches and angles along. Does Bud Selig come out before every baseball game and explain why the Yankees and the Tigers are playing tonight? Aunt Flo was a two-minute sketch that did no harm to anyone and was pretty much never mentioned again. If it disrupted your enjoyment of SD! THAT much, I must ask: How can you survive RAW? THAT much, I must ask: How can you survive RAW? Oh, that sketch lowered my intelligence enough that I don't have worry about "surviving" any more of that crap in my television diet. No, after last weeks Smackdown, I'm officially done believing the "Smackdown is better" hype. Though I must admit, I did tune in to see Steiner's "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do" line. I assume the idea there was that since Aunt Flow didn't approve, Big Steph and Scotty walked the dirt road.

Guest Redhawk Report post Posted December 11, 2002 Bud Seling: "And Derek Jeter, since you think you're such hot stuff, I'm making this game an EXTRA-INNINGS GAME!" JR: "WHY THAT'S NOT FAIR! THAT DAMN SELIG!" Later in the show... Selig: "OK, Vladimir Guerrero, I guess you won't have a problem when I put you in a HANDICAP GAME versus the Phillies AND the Marlins!" Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted December 11, 2002 It doesn't matter if she is a face or a heel... she is a McMahon and therefore is the biggest star on the show and must over shadow everyone else.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted December 11, 2002 I don't get that (ok, I get it, I don't like it and it defies reason). Mcmahons always have to have the upper-hand... But they aren't talent and they aren't draws and they don't wrestle - so why should they?

Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted December 11, 2002 Because Vince still thinks he was the reason Austin made so much money (due to Austin/McMahon). The truth is at that point Austin could have drawn a buyrate against a muppet.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted December 11, 2002 So the WWF hasn't a clue how to run a wrestling promotion without an 'owner' right? Now is this because the Mcmahons are so self-involved, or because they really are just that stupid... Or both?

Selig: "OK, Vladimir Guerrero, I guess you won't have a problem when I put you in a HANDICAP GAME versus the Phillies AND the Marlins!" The two posts of the WEEK, right there. I'm still recovering. The answer to this question is obviously La Parka. I know this defies most WWE logic (thus making it what I call REAL logic), but I think they're trying, but failing miserably, to make her a figure like Mick Foley from the Austin rundown whodunit onwards, that being the figure of the person in charge who does what they deem fair, not what the fans neccesarily want. Unfortunately, a lot of these measures to make her seem fair to heels and faces fail because most of them lack any sort of reasoning behind them or an explanation or emphasis by the announcers that an unpopular move was made because it had to be or a popular one was made because of a love for the fans... ... you know what? Fuck it, let her strip and then leave. By the way WWE, just because we say we want to screw her doesn't mean we want her on our televisions in a substantial role. I mean, we want to screw most of the "Divas" also, but you don't go and make them General Managers, now do you?
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted December 11, 2002 Kotz: Er, you don't speak for me when you say that. And there isn't a damn thing appealing to me about Steph McMonkeyears. She has big fake tits--whooptie. I don't care. However, what happens on SD looks like I'll get a kick out of it briefly, but aside from that and the Guerreros' match, I'll pass. HOTT!~ HOSS~ACTION!!~ is not going to keep me turned in.

Guest Goodear Report post Posted December 11, 2002 Because Vince still thinks he was the reason Austin made so much money (due to Austin/McMahon). The truth is at that point Austin could have drawn a buyrate against a muppet. "Hello, BPS, this is history... please stop revisioning me." Vince McMahon was a brilliant heel at that period in time and served as a perfect foil and dramatic device for Austin. The problems all started after Austin's run ran its course and Vince wouldn't go back to just being the owner again. But Vince had a huge role in that feud and to say that he didn't is patently rediculous.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted December 11, 2002 I missed this post by bps, and this is one case you are far from 100% right. Vince's Mr. McMahon character, given birth after SurSer97, was a new breed of heel and one the fans were begging to be given the shitkicking of his life. To this day Vince can't enter an arena without "asshole" chants. Of course, they are much softer now. Of course, there are far fewer people in arenas now. Problem is, as much as Vince likes to think he's a genius, he's pulling the same crap that Bischoff, who had no prior experience let alone a father in teh business, pulled. He's trying to recapture an angle that was so successful, he thinks that doing it again will result in similar success. So he tried it again, and again, and again. Commissioners, "owners," "general managers," a chief of staff. IT IS OVER!! For crying out loud, at least Bisch took a hint and killed the nWo eventually... And what I find even sadder than all that, is that VINCE TRIED TO REVIVE THE nWo angle AGAIN!!!! This and the fact that Vince wants to bring in Nathan Jones as a "monster" tells me he hasn't one fucking original idea left in his head, and is seriously going senile. And if Shane isn't the one to take over, there's no fucking way the WWe will last much longer in this kind of a condition, since McMahons always have to dictate the direction. And it's difficult for Steph to play a face when she's so obviously a bitch in real life. I just try to remember that Stephanie, no matter what, hates us. That makes everything much easier to swallow.
