Guest converge241 Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 have you had it happen? and what do you think is going on there (inspired by weird dreams thread) ive had it 5 times i can remember 2 of the times i knew what was going to happen next one was just a phone call from my mother in law the other was nothing really happening in particular but i knew the next two songs that were going to come on the radio
Guest caboose Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 apparently it's a glitch in the matrix.
Guest DawnBTVS Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Lately I've been experiencing deja vu almost constantly. Kinda unnerving considering I never really experience deja vu that much.
Guest Kinetic Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 I once correctly predicted that a radio station would be playing the song "Radio Free Europe." This was maybe two years ago, so the odds of that particular radio station playing that particular song were not good. It wasn't deja vu, but I was suitably awed by my psychic powers. ::rubs temples:: I predict that this thread will have 28 replies.
Guest AM The Kid Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 I have deja vu allll the time, it drives me nuts. Back in 1997 I had about 5 minutes straight of deja vu. Creepy.
Guest converge241 Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 im a casual believer that dreams are experiences through other realities and deja vu is experiemces through time like in the waking world we exist in this existence of reality and time combined but when you dream you are in those other realities with all the myriad possibilities and it feels so real because youre actually there all existence is like a radio and we are tuned into one frequency but you pick up all thse other ones from time to time I used to read a lot about those theories in general and lucidity i dont know how much stock i put into them buts its nice to believe in the possibility like people with UFOs i guess whackos

Guest dreamer420 Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 I have it happen to me on a regular basis. I will be somewhere or doing something and I will realize that I have done it before. It trips me out.
Guest AM The Kid Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 ...you probably ARE tripped out
Guest Flyboy Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 I have it happen to me on a regular basis. I will be somewhere or doing something and I will realize that I have done it before. It trips me out. The same thing happens to me... if not that, then I know exactly what is going to happen and how it's going to happen. I thought I was the only one... it use to freak me out, but I'm sort of use to it now.
Guest Kingpk Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 I know what you mean. Sometimes I have these really simple daydreams, like I'm sitting on the couch watching the Price is Right and someone is playing Plinko while Bob says something, then a few weeks later I'm sitting on my couch Watching TPiR........ Someone is playing Plinko (that looks exactly like the person in my dream)........ And Bob is saying the exact same things I dreamt he did....... Weird.
Guest phoenixrising Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 I have it a lot, I'll be somewhere I've never been and I get this feeling that I've been there before. The strongest deja vu I've ever had is when my family and I went to Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah and I got the feeling that I had been there before. I was 8 at the time, and I KNOW I had not been there before. It was like I had been there in a past life or something. Freaky.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Deja vu? Never experienced it.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Deja vu? Never experienced it
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Hmmm, I've seen that post somewhere before......
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 One theory on Deja Vu is that it comes as a product of boredom or the mind's attempts to bring up information for your current situation. Often it will result from reading about something or seeing something before, so when you see it again, an event you forgot about (say, visiting a certain place) is brought back in the mind, sometimes supplanting the current situation.
Guest J*ingus Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 I've heard somewhere that the feeling of deja vu is produced when, for some reason, your short-term memory shuts down for a brief time and everything you're experiencing is being put directly into long-term memory, thus creating the feeling that you've done or seen something like this similar in the past.
Guest redbaron51 Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 i see it as this. de ja vu are flashbacks from what happened in previous lifes you had. Meaning this: You are doing the same thing right now, as you did in your previous life the exact same moment, the exact same time.

King... are you my brother?
Guest El Satanico Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 It happens to me, but it's usually just a quick flash that makes me go "whoa" then it's gone.
