In four rooms case, only 1/4 was. My vote goes to Jackie Brown. Its hard to pick as most of the ones on that list are some of my favorite movies of all time. Jackie Brown gets the nod just cause i love the slow, quiet pacing of the movie. It was tough to pick over romance, dogs, and fiction though. Fell free to bash the ones you dont like if needed! His best performance, but his creepy dude in Heathers is close. Oldman, Walken, Hopper, a then unknown Gandolfini and even Balki Bartokomous star in this epic drama of evil vs evil!!!! Guest LooseCannon Report post Posted March 7, 2002 I'm only counting movies Tarantino actually directed, and among those, I'd choose Pulp Fiction. While I personally enjoyed Reservoir Dogs a bit more, Pulp Fiction is a bit more stylistically and cinematically sophisticated, in my opinion. It was arguably the best movie the year it came out, and was one of the most important films of the 90's in terms of having an influence on other films, and in terms of what kinds of movies, studios were willing to invest in. The cast in True Romance is terrific and the film is vastly underrated but I don't think it is even in the same league as something like Pulp Fiction.
