Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted December 11, 2002 Does anyone have info on if or when Ed Wood will be released on region 1 DVD? This is a must have DVD for me and I'm wondering if I have been too baked over the past year to notice it getting released. I know it is available in Region 2 I think and the specs I read for that disk looked awesome. If anyone knows anything more on this I would really appreciate any info that you can give. Guest Lethargic Report post Posted December 11, 2002 It got postponed. No date has been rescheduled yet. I know our library had put the DVD on order and it has recently been taken off the ordered list so that doesn't seem good.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted December 11, 2002 I heard Burton wanted to make the DVD really special and that could be the reason for the delay. Still, that news doesn't leave me happy, as the UK version looks amazing.
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted December 11, 2002 Yeah, he wanted to do a commentary track. That takes 2 hours doesn't it? It's been like 4 months. ha
Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted December 11, 2002 Actually, the region 1 DVD of Ed Wood was released in the summer, then recalled a day later when Tim Burton found out it was being released bare bones. He said there will be an SE released in the spring, with commentaries, deleted scenes and more. The copies that were released are currently being bought by desperate morons for $300 on eBay.
