Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Am I the only one who never knew what the hell Batman was talking about when he told Vicki Vale that she had something that he wanted?
Guest Eagan469 Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 He wanted to obtain the film from Vicki, right?
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Pussy was my first guess.
Guest Tony149 Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 It was the film. Believe it or not, it never crossed my mind that pussy could of been what Batman was talking about since I thought it was clear he wanted the film. Then again, the next scene saw Vicki on the bed, so maybe it was both.

It was clear that Batman had no attraction to Vale at that point. She was simply someone who he saved from Joker, and she had proof he was Bruce Wayne. Batman was born out of loss and pain. He is asexual. Bruce is the guy who wanted her.

But in the comics I'd say that's a rather good assessment of how it would have been.
Guest razazteca Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Vicky Vale wanted to Dance With The Devil In The Pale Moonlight

Yes, I felt the romance angle ruined the "loner" spirit of Batman, (Does Itto Ogami need a girl?) but the execs thought it would make more money so... I'm just glad they got Batman Returns right.
Guest SP-1 Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Agreed. Keaton needs to come back, dangit. And Pfeifer too. I demand the rematch of the Bat and the Cat.

Yeah, that's EXACTLY what we need. Now not only is he 2 feet too short and 200 pounds too light but he'll be 60 years old. What a Batman that'd be. Go ahead and bring back Nicholson and we'll just have a threeway viagra-fest.

Guest dreamer420 Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 I think Basinger's line of "Oh, he took the film!" was pretty much a dead giveaway.
Guest SP-1 Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Keaton did the best job in the films. I'd have much rather seen him tackle the psychological storyline in Batman Returns than Val Kilmer, even though Kilmer wasn't a complete disaster at it. I want to see Colin Ferrell take it over if the Year One rumors are true. I think he'd make a great Bruce/Batman.

Collin Farrell as Batman and Jude Law as Superman. Ha. Man. Attack of the super midgets. The guy I'd like to see play Batman is named "unknown". The Christian Bale rumors are the only ones I've liked as far as name stars go.
Guest SP-1 Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 Yeah, I know he was rumored for the "vs" pic, but I'd still rather see him do Year One. I've not seen Bale's work so I can't really say whether or not I'd like to see him in the role.
