Well, I'm pretty sure Angle's winning now...

...since he jobbed to Albert on SmackDown. He better be getting SOME kind of reward. And, as we all know, if you lose on SD! before the PPV (unless you're facing HHH) you win at the PPV.

Any thoughts?

Any Threats?

Isn't Angle injured though?? I mean I don't see the point of giving him the title if he's not gonna do anything with it

Not that it matters much, but it was Show who defeated Angle last night, according to the updated spoilers I read.

He can still do tag stuff and short matches.

Plus HBK is the champ on the *other* show, so why not?

Big Show is gonna walk out of Armageddon still the WWE Champion. If Angle wins the title, I'll be really surprised.

It's time to get past the "If he loses before the PPV, he's going to win. Or, Vise Versa."

That's been dead since Mr. "I have to protect my heat and always look good" Austin.

Not really Fear Havoc.

Taker got the last laugh on Brock before No Mercy.

Unforgiven ended in a schmoz so i wont count that.

Rock got last laugh on Brock before Summerslam.

Angle got last laugh on Rock before Vengeance.

HHH got last laugh before KOTR.

The last time I remember someone getting last laugh and still winning was Taker over Hogan

HBK got the last laugh before he beat Triple H @ Survivor Series. Yes, Jericho then laid him out, but he Pedigreed Triple H first.

I think HBk got the last laugh on Triple H before Summerslam also.

He hit the fucked up plancha when he slipped on the top.

HHH v. HBK are a special case since HHH will make HBK will let Shawn get the last laugh on him and stuff.

I know Austin got the last laugh and beat Hall at Wrestlemania

...And Lesnar got the last laugh on TBS, pre-Survivor Series, by absolutely DECIMATING him on Smackdown.

Since February of this year, it's happened in

--No Way Out (Austin/Y2J)

--Wrestlemania (Y2J/HHH)

--Backlash (HHH/Hogan)

--KOTR (HHH/UT)

--Vengeance (Angle/Rock)

--Summerslam (Brock/Rock)

--Unforgiven (RVD/HHH)

--No Mercy (Kane/HHH, UT/Brock)

--Survivor Series (Brock/Big Show)

That's pretty much damning evidence there..every PPV (*EDIT* except Judgment Day) since the Royal Rumble, which is shady itself because of the only build-up to Rock/Jericho being dueling promos to hype it. Nothing to prove that Angle will win this Sunday, but at least this year holds the "upper hand loses at PPV" theory true. Oh, almost forgot about HBK having the final last laugh on Raw...make that Armageddon also.

Didn't Taker get the last laugh on Hogan before Judgement Day??

Now that I remember, yes. Taker got the last laugh, with that horrible motorcycle-dragging incident on the Raw pre-PPV, while Hogan did the fake retirement speech and Vince McMahon beatdown on Smackdown.

Taker dragged him on a motorcycle on RAW, Hogan beat up Vince on SD! and Vince ended up costing him the match

Angle's going to need a month off soon to get his knee scoped. The whole Brock being in his corner makes it more apparent that he's going to lose. He hast he advantage going into the show now despite the loss.

I bet he's gonna beat Show clean... except the ref is down. Then Brock will try to help Angle but either

1) Cause him to get DQ'ed by accident

2) Hit him with a chair or something by accident so he loses.

Angle gets hot at Brock even though he tried to help.

It seems like they are setting it up for Brock to somehow cost Angle the match even if it is by accident. Then Angle takes his time off and comes back for revenge on Brock down the road.

That is such the obvious and played out way of doing it though.

It would be far more appealing (to me at least) if Brock keeps Heymen under control at the PPV allowing Angle to pick up the clean win. Then after the PPV Angle reneges on his offer of giving Brock the first title shot, so Brock wins the Rumble earning a title shot without Angle being able to do anything about it. THis would have Angle as the heel and Brock as the face obviously.

An other option would be for Angle to win the title at the PPV, but get really injured by Big Show after/during the match (thus giving him time off). However on Smackdown, Brock still demands he gets his match against Angle. Angle is all banged up and shouldn't wrestle, but still gives Brock the title shot against his better judgement. Angle puts up a valient fight but he is way too hurt for it to be a competitive match. Brock doesn't show any mercy and wins with relative ease. Angle then takes his time off before returning and setting his sights on Brock since Brock never beat him when he was healthy. This would reverse their roles (Brock as a Heel and Angle as a Face) which is probably less likely.

They will probably just fall back on the old "Brock accidentally costs Angle the Title" thing, with Brock beating Show at Royal Rumble (when the no re-match clause is somehow removed), Angle wins the Royal Rumble, and they meet at WM.

I HATE THIS COMPANY HATE IT, HATE IT, HATE IT.

They amde Angle go up to Brock and basically say "I suck the Big one, I can never beat Big Show by myself, but since you are just that much better than me, why not win the match for me?"

Then they job him to Albert.

Now they will job him to Big Show.

There are plenty of things to complain about the WWF, but this is not one of them. You missed the point of the segment and instead twisted it around so it would appear very Anti-Angle (like you often do). From the spoilers I have read, Angle asked Brock to be at ringside to take care of Heymen. He says something to the effect of Heymen being the only reason that Show has the title now and Brcok doesn't. The angle is Brock is at ringside to get his hands on his former manager and in turn, take Heymen out so Angle can take show on one on one. No where was it implied that Angle asked for Brock's help because he can't beat the big show own. That was how you chose to interpret it.

There are about twetny other bad things on Smackdown this week to complain about besides this.

Because ALL the Big faces need someone to help them take out a fat manager. Like Austin. Oh wait, he never asked for help there, did he? Or Rock? Didn't Rock say he DIDn't need Austin's help at backlash, when he was up against HHH with about 70 people in his corner and a biased ref? Of course, The Undertaker always begged for help, like the time...or the time... Well, never. But I'm sure SOMEONE got over as a big face by playing the useless tool.

So what you are saying Anglesault, is that since Austin, Taker, and co. all got booked one way, thats it's all a big conspiracy that Angle gets booked another way?

BTW, what is the point of putting "Spoiler" in the headline when the match hasn't happened yet?

So much WWE hate, and yet SO many good matches this year. Whatever. This year will go down as very underrated, and THAT friends, is a spoiler.

Cheesala :firing:

So if Angle does win, then does that mean the A-Train, or whatever his fucking name is, can beat the WWE Champion?

Austin/Taker: Winning Formula.

Idiot loser who needs someone to help him: Not.

It's put there because of the Smackdown spoiler in the post.

Oh, here's another Mega-Face for you that sometimes asked for help

Mick Foley.

Asked for DX's help against the Corporation...probably backstage asked for Rock's help during his street fight with HHH for the cuffing incident...

None of his title reigns meant shit, and he never made it over 3rd or 4th babyface. And of course, he was so important to the company that they had no use for him last year,

Once again, it was, what seven wrestlers that Mick wanted contained. Angle can't take the fat manager that Jeff Hardy beat up.

Anglesault...I STILL don't see why you're so upset...

Angle's showing intelligence and taking no chances with Heyman....

And you're upset because he's DOING SOMETHING SMART?

Jeez...first you're upset because, in your words, he's made to look like a moron...then when he does something intelligent on TV...you're STILL not happy...

The Rock didn't seem to upset when Linda put Austin in his corner at Backlash

I dunno. I recall "I don't need him" promos.

Jeez...first you're upset because, in your words, he's made to look like a moron...then when he does something intelligent on TV...you're STILL not happy...

Rock was never booked as a moron (To Angle's extent at least) and he sure as fuck never cam crawling to Austin to help him take out Paul Bearer or some shit like that.

And what if Angle LOSES? He's the guy who can't beat Big Show with someone's help?

*sigh* Tell me again Anglesault...why do you even think about watching if all you're going to do is bitch.

You bitch when Angle does some funny stuff, you bitch when he does intelligent stuff, you bitch when he gets a world title match...

And SO WHAT if he asked Lesnar to watch Heyman. Think about it....say wrestling was real...you were a wrestler...and you had a match against Big Show. Would you take the chance with Heyman?
