Guest CED Ordonez Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 (Source: CNN.com) HOLYOKE, Massachusetts (AP) -- The Department of Social Services is looking into a possible case of child abuse after a 4-year-old girl brought her teacher a small bag of marijuana as a gift. When Head Start Early Childhood Center teacher Iris Galvez asked where she got the gift Monday, the girl said she got it "from her mommy," according to a police report obtained by the Union-News of Springfield. The girl's mother, Shelin Colon, 32, said she doesn't have any drugs in the house and doesn't know where the girl might have gotten the marijuana, police said. No charges have been filed. A report of suspected child abuse or neglect has been filed with Social Services, a department spokesman said. Suzanne L. Parker, deputy director of the area Head Start program, declined to comment.
Guest El Satanico Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 This is exactly way you should always have a good hiding spot for your stash. It's even more important to find a good hiding spot when you have sticky little fingers running around your house

Guest NoCalMike Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 I doubt the 4 year old deserves any punishment at all. As if he knew what "marijuana" was. No one knows where he got it from, why he brought it to school, and/or why he gave it to the teacher. Maybe more facts will come out and then we can better discuss this story.
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 I'd like to see what a 4 year old is like on pot.
Guest MillenniumMan831 Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 I work w/ a divorced man w/ 2 kids. This guy used to be a pothead in college, but is clean / sober / settled down now. His son (11ish) graduated from one of those drug-awareness programs, can't think of the name of it right now. Anyways, he was helping his dad clean the house when he found a 20-year old joint in the back of his sock drawer. The guy completely forgot about it! "What is THIS?" asked the son. The dad grabs the joint "That's just a REALLY OLD cigarette," explains daddy and he flushed it down the toilet. Doesn't appear the kid learned enough about drug awareness.
