Guest papacita Report post Posted December 12, 2002 Ok, a friend who's planning a trip to Canada asked me if she'll need to get a passport to get across the border. Now it seems to me like she would, but seeing as how I've never actually left the country, I'm not 100% sure. Soooo...somebody help me out. I'll give you a nickel. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted December 13, 2002 I went into Canada twice last year from Michigan...I don't have photo ID, but I had a copy of my birth certificate on me, first time they checked it, second time they didn't. My friend needed a passport to get through to Windsor which he didn't have.Photo ID and birth certificate were not enough.
