with the emerging of Bulger and a bad cap situation next year (not as bad as Oakland who is 55 million projected over next year) theres been a lot of circulation about this

 

do you think it will happen?

 

Is it a good idea?

 

and who should they deal with?

 

i think it will and they should either to Cinci or Washington

just get all the picks you can and keep marshall

I figure Cinci will be drafting first and will take Leftwhich.

 

Warner will command a #1 if they trade him...and Cinci won't give up THE #1.

 

Washington I could see since Snyder would love to make a big move.

 

However...if they do trade him it could work out like the Bledsoe deal where the Rams get nothing until the next year anyway...

 

so my official stance is...I dunno.

 

I think they should see how he recovers from THIS injury during the offseason and go from there. He's not young though.

Actually, given the Bengals' QB draft history over the last ten years (Akili Smith, David Klingler), I say TRADE TRADE TRADE.

They should trade down with the #1 pick to another spot and trade that for Warner and pick up another player or more picks in the trade.

im still puzzled by what the Bengals did last year.. everyone thought their offensive line was a strength..so they take another lineman with their high pick

Keep Warner away from Washington. The absolute last thing the Redskins need is to trade off a ton of draft picks for Warner, only to have him get hurt or something and then decide he doesn't want to play anymore or something rediculously stupid like that.

 

Of course, it is Daniel "My wallet is bigger than your team's owners Wallet*" Snyder so I figure it will happen. Another reason why Im not going to follow the Redskins at all starting next year and until Snyder sells the team to someone who knows what they're doing.

This is a big gamble for the Rams. Was Kurt Warner healthy at all this season? How much of Marc Bulger's success had to do with Marshall Faulk, the weak schedule he faced, teams being unprepared, and thinking they could win by just showing up.

If they do trade Warner, whoever gets him should immediately demand he see the best hand specialisy in the country. Actually, they should do this before they make the deal. If he has some chronic, degenerative problem with his hand, stay away. But if it can be fixed or already is, then there are teams who would improve themselves at QB by getting Warner.

 

I think one of the best fits for him would be in Washington, though were I the Redskins, I'd be loath to trade a top pick that would be better used rebuilding an aging, underperforming defense. Maybe a player or two and a lesser pick would seal the deal. Warner doesn't have a tremendous deep arm, but until this abortion of a season, he's been a very accurate passer with good pocket presence. He'd be a tremendous upgrade over any of the clowns Spurrier has put under center so far this year. And in three or four years, when he retires or moves on, Patrick Ramsay should be ready to take over.
