I liked VF4, but I enjoyed SYM a whole lot more.

Gamecube Game of the Year: Mario Party 4

 

PS2 Game of the Year: Kingdom Hearts

 

Console of the Year: It's a tough choice. I only own the Xbox and the PS2 (and GBA if it counts). The PS2 has stayed pretty steady throughout the year, releasing some big games at the begining of the fall, but the Xbox really picked up steam in late fall/ early winter by pumping out the good games on a weekly basis. As far as game quality, it's a toss up because I enjoyed a lot of the games on each system. I'll go with the Xbox.

 

Game of the Year: I liked Shenmue 2 and Kingdom Hearts the most out of any games this year. THey both have amazing stories and their gameplay ain't to shabby either. KH is more polished though, so i'll go with that.
