Thinking About Crimson

Please note, I make fun of WildChild all comments long... but it's not malicious. It's more like how Judge always picked on Johnny (who hasn't been slapped in so long, he doesn't know what to do with himself

Johnny Drives a Bronco

A bronco? A bronco? Super spy Johnny comes the arena in a Ford truck? I'm flabbergasted and shocked by this beyond words. Castro must not be paying his evil spies well. Anyway an alliance forms with 2 of the top 5 faces on the show (and WildChild too), so it has to be a winner... but what will the 2 Junior League Magnificent 7 members do about it?

Ejiro talks about Fugue and Johnny

Why's not? I figured the main event could use some promo... so I did one. WHEEE!

Tag Match No Shows

So this is what its like... when doves cry. I bet WildChild popped all their tires so they would be late.

Janus says stuff

Well, not a whole lot. For all of you people that say they have a charisma of 2, so they cannot talk... this is the way to get around that. Janus builds up heat by little phrases and gestures to get over while using Hardy's reactions as a beacon. It's good stuff.

Ejiro gets VERY MUCH cheated out of his belt ;)

Boy Janus and I started our matches totally the other way around, where I had Janus overpowering Ejiro, he had Ejiro going to the arm. Weird how the world works.

Ejiro kicks out, and the crowd naturally boos.

Axis: "That thunderous boot to the chest definitely took some of Ejiro's game out of him for the moment..."

Suicide King: "But look! He's going to make sure Janus is no condition to fight either!"

The Suicide King's words ring true as the giant sits up, but Ejiro pulls himself up, holding his chest, and lunges, locking the giant in a chickenwing stretch before he can rise fully - torquing not only the giant's injured shoulder, but his good one as well.

This seemed pretty 'jumpy' to me. Like, you have Ejiro kicking out a near fall and, then, just walking up and putting on a chicken wing while Janus is on the mat. Saying how exactly Ejiro got up faster or why Janus is so worn out would have been something to consider adding into the mix. I also think you should have put a little more importance onto the gore that took you out of the first fall. Like have King make a more sarcastic remark... or have Janus convulse on the mat. Also getting out of the cobra crossface is a first, you want to make it a bigger deal.

I do dig how you had Ejiro going back to the same arm damaging moves again and again, like the Fuser and single arm DDT. It makes Fasaki seem like more of a pitbull sort of character than I normally write him.

The gorrilla press to the floor was a great spot, but you had Ejiro come back way too soon after taking it. In my opinion, Ejiro should be messed up from that for a while and not just Irish whipping Janus around in the next few moments.

Good choice of finisher there, after all the shoulder work and having Janus' usual throws get thrown out the window... going to the relatively easy to apply implant DDT was a good choice to put the match away.

Rivenstone talks!

Good promo where you seed a little doubt about whether or not Nocturna is going to show up for the match or not (since people keep forgetting about her). Plus a little more information on what the DoD is after (wholesale calamity) is good helper on how they should be written.

Dirty Cheat, WildChild wins.

Hardcastle is funny during the opening moments of the match, frisking Rivenstone whenever he can... and humor at the ref's expense is always a good thing. Plus taking a knee to the nuts is nice way to get WildChild out of LOVER MODE, the sleezebag...

The lucha sequences that follow are sweet... perfect balance between the description and names of moves so everything has a very quick feel to it. Although I think you played up Rivenstone as being a little bit too weak before Nocturna got involved, although once that happened, the cheating worked out very well. Until it finally cost the DoD the match. Well executed match... I wish the bookers would send Rivenstone against less seasoned people for a little bit, she starts off in those 3 and 4 man clusters and then gets put against one of the best writers in the fed. Hard to get any momentum that way.

Mag 7 (led by Ejiro Fasaki) claim VICTORY

Good bit of give and take leading up to the bolt cutters... OF DOOM being brought into the match. Although I thought a few of the transitions were a little iffy, it did net you the World Title, so who am I to judge? The use of the cutters to absolutely destroy Dangerous was awesome as was the backstage antics with Ejiro, Dace and that dirty cheat, WildChild. The era of FUGUE begins... now, to keep all the fat ladies out of the arenas.

Ejiro, I just wanted to say that your match was probably the closest squeaker I've ever had to mark. You're an outstanding writer and talent regardless, and I think you'll make a great future World champ.

So, onward and upward!
