Guest EMAXSAUN Report post Posted March 7, 2002 Okay, I know that a lot of you are anti-XPW and whatever, but just read this, I had heard this from a bunch of different people, and this text proves that Robert Black and Paul Heyman had a deal going. Background: Black likes professional wrestling and used to be one of ECW's biggest fans. From: MMiddl01 ([email protected]) Subject: St. Clair/Rob Black with EA and ECW????? Newsgroups: rec.arts.movies.erotica View: Complete Thread (3 articles) | Original Format Date: 1999/04/17 Can anyone verify or give more info on this: ----- What is in the future for ECW? Well, THC has HUGE news on ECW and it's future marketing, advertising and ECW worldwide! Read on... Months of negotiating with Paul Heyman has gotten former pro-wrestler and now adult film producer Rob Black a lot of things to be proud about. Rob Black is the head of Extreme Associates, an adult film company. After nearly 20 hours of negotiating back in February, Black and Heyman came to a deal. The following sums up ECW and EA's deal: Black's new Tits and Ass line of porno action figures as well as other Extreme Associates projects will receive 60 second advertisements on ECW video tapes and ECW TV broadcasts. Black will also help spread ECW into Brazil. Black recently made a few trips into Brazil for the adult business. Rob and Extreme Associates will help get ECW video tapes out into the Brazillian market. No ECW events are scheduled to take place in Brazil though. Another porn star, Tom Byron comes into play. Tom has done several films for Black in the past. Black will enter the soft-core porn field using Black. Rob will air/advertise Tom Byron "skits" on ECW Television. Similar to the Val Venis skits on WWF TV. However, these "skits" will be Tom Byron "casting calls," for porno movies. Byron is not set to enter the ring anytime soon. There will be action figures, put out by Black of Jasmine, Bryon and other of Black's porno stars. Does it end there? No. ECW's action figures are set to be released very soon. ECW has plans on advertising Black's Jasmine St. Clair figure along with a Tom Byron figure. Byron's figure will come with a "porno movie set." It will probably contain a toy camera and toy bed, a model of a porno set. Jasmine's will be a model after her ECW character. That's not all. Jasmine St. Clair, who we saw at ECW's Guilty as Charged PPV will play a huge role in this. St. Clair is part of the "talent" for Extreme Associates. It was Jasmine who also got the idea rolling between Heyman and Black on this whole deal. Jasmine will begin appearing on ECW TV shows very soon, in character. Her character will be a heel reporter. She will feud with, yes, Francine. Jasmine and Black want her to be the most hated woman in pro wrestling. Jasmine St. Claire WILL be at Hardcore Heaven 1999! Rob Black is extremely happy about this deal as it will take him to new heights in the adult industry. This is all that we have so far. This has been confirmed by offices of Mr. Black and Extreme Associates. No comment yet from ECW. We are trying to get more on this from both sides. However Jasmine will be at HH '99 and her role will start soon in ECW. After: The deal fell through because Paul Heyman didn't want to be affiliated with porno after all and just cut off their connection. Black got mad and in turn, created his own promotion, XPW. They wore their t-shirts to the ECW heatwave PPV in a story that has been mis told so many times its not even funny. they wore their shirts, they got thrown out, Black slapped the Messiah in the face, and yelled at all of them. Robert Black and Paul Heyman used to be friends...
Guest JHawk Report post Posted March 7, 2002 The real story? I don't know. But can I ask a quick question? They wore their t-shirts to the ECW heatwave PPV in a story that has been mis told so many times its not even funny. they wore their shirts, they got thrown out, Black slapped the Messiah in the face, and yelled at all of them. Am I correct in thinking your implication is that the XPW contigent was thrown out just for wearing their shirts to an ECW PPV? Not that it matters now, as ECW's out of business and XPW has little to no following even after the free exposure they got with that incident. As far as the nuts and bolts of the post, my immediate question would be why ECW would worry about having any kind of foothold in Brazil? They'd barely made it to Canada by that point, and Canada had at least heard of ECW's shows. I know there was some sort of agreement at some point, but I have to think the details listed here are exaggerated.

Guest EMAXSAUN Report post Posted March 7, 2002 JHawk: I don't know if it is the real story, but its the only thing that I found that seemed feasable, it probably is exaggerated though, but i do know that they had a deal at one point, it fell through, and their friendship was over. as for the heatwave thing, both feds have different stories, and I think you have to take a little of both into account when you try to decipher what actually went down. neither XPW nor ECW was in the right, and we'll leave it at that. I don't know about how much attention they got from it, XPW usually draws over 500 people per show, I think at least 800 were at the last one, but im not sure, could be more, could be less. cobainwasmurdered: I don't care if you don;t like XPW, I don't like everything XPW does, but some stuff I like. I still watch the wwf as well, so im not going to shove how great xpw is down your throat or anything. hey, if you don't like it, fine with me. i am a fan of the promotion, and i think that as long as rob black is making porno, it should be running. rob black seems pretty sleazy to me, ill admit that, but i dont hate the man or anything. but, i have one question for you...have you ever seen xpw? just wondering. Guest Capone Report post Posted March 9, 2002 I was at Heatwave 2000. I was around 9 rows back of the XPW guys.(who were at ringside) you can see me holding the "XPW Sux" sign. From what I saw, Kristy Myst sorta shoved Francine and was talking shit, and Dreamer ofcourse saw it and went after the XPW "wrestlers." Then alot of the ECW locker room cleared out and got into it. Back in the parking lot the XPW guys got there asses handed to them.(well deservingly I might add) XPW showed how unprofessional they really are that night. It was lame as hell.
