Guest ])r. ])eath Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 How is the WWF planning on filling all 4 hours? Just curious. I'm sure that over the next two Smackdowns, and the next Raw that at least 3 more matches will be made, but still, nowing the time limit that wrestlers are given to work with, the PPV will still end dramatically early. 3 hours & 45 minutes need to be filled. There will be at least 10 minutes of $40 commercials. Hogan Vs. Rock = about 25 minutes Austin Vs. Hall = about 25 minutes Flair Vs. Undertaker = about 25 minutes Trish Vs. Jazz = about 7 minutes. RVD Vs. Regal = about 13 minutes. 4 Tag Teams = about 13 minutes. promos = at least 25 minutes. ===================== That's only two hours and 13 minutes. Am I forgetting something? Just curious.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 they're gonna make many mnore matches, not to mention all the "groundbreaking" actions that happen after each match
Guest RedJed Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 Umm yeah you're forgetting HHH-Jericho in there. I expect that one to go a good 30 minutes. It's almost a lock that Edge-Booker and Kane-Angle will be added as well, and probably a few more to boot. I'm not going to complain much about it because even at 10 matches total, every match will have time to develop.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 The entrance ramp will be huge, the intros/entrances will take forever. Hogan and Rock will take a good 40 minutes because of pre-match antics, the match, post match antics and posing. They will show a ton of highlight reels/recaps of the feuds. Some filler stuff like last years army thing. I think it will go a good 3 1/2 hours.

Shows how much that belt means nowadays. That is the match that I want to see the most too. Hopfully, Steph won't ruin the match, or it won't get changed from an one on one contest. It will got 25 minutes as well. Kane Vs. Angle & Edge Vs. Booker T. will both prolly go about 13 minutes. That's another 51 minutes total, so that takes it well into the third hour, so many the won't have any time problems.
Guest Choken One Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 Nope. Time will work out just right...WM2000 was 3 1/2 hours and they could have streched a few of those matches to 4 hours even.
Guest Tony149 Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 A lot more matches will probably be added. Maybe even a battle royal to fit more of the roster on the show and from what happened at Raw...a Rikishi vs. Mr. Perfect match could happen.
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 I just think it's a bit shit that with the roster the WWF have, we should need to worry about the length of Wrestlemania!!!] If they had good writers and good feuds, thy could easily fill 5 hours+ with quality matches.
Guest ])r. ])eath Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 Nope. Time will work out just right...WM2000 was 3 1/2 hours and they could have streched a few of those matches to 4 hours even. They only have to go 3 hours and 45 minutes. All other PPV's are 2 hours and 45 minutes. They could stretch it out, but they don't have to. "Card subject to change" & the Countdown stop the false advertisement claim. That is why my equation that I was trying to muster up would have only needed to fill 225 minutes, instead of 240.
Guest ])r. ])eath Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 Hogan Vs. Rock = about 35 minutes Austin Vs. Hall = about 30 minutes Flair Vs. Undertaker = about 30 minutes Trish Vs. Jazz = about 10 minutes. RVD Vs. Regal = about 15 minutes. 4 Tag Teams = about 25 minutes. Triple H Vs. Jericho = 40 minutes Kane Vs. Angle = 15 minutes Booker T. Vs. Edge = 15 minutes Perfect Vs. Rikishi? = 10 minutes =225 minutes Don't know about Hogan going for 35 minutes, but for now it makes the equation work out, so we'll see. Am I forgetting anything now? Other than commercials & promos (which shouldn't matter, because I rounded, which is why all match length are multiples of five).
Guest Mik at Cornell 04 Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 Don't forget that Good ol JR said that Drowning Pool and Saliva will be there also. Drowning Pool = Triple H's entrance will be extended. And Saliva, if I'm not mistaken does Y2J's, so that match will have super extended entrances.

Guest art_vandelay Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 Sevendust are going to do a new Jericho theme. Saliva does X-Pac's.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 yay more generic rock songs!
Guest ])r. ])eath Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 yay more generic rock songs! I somewhat agree. I somewhat disagree. I don't think that any music is "crappy" and Sevendust is an amazing band in my eyes. I do, however, question how the WWF chooses which bands they want to represent them. Saliva & Drowning Pool? They aren't really even that popular. I don't count MTV as a "popularity counter" because we have all caught at least one episode of TRL. I do understand why the WWF has some of their product on MTV. They are very similar. WWF = World Wrestling Federation, though they lack wrestling. MTV = Music Television, though they lack music. Need proof? Explain to me why MTV had a "Road Rules" Marathon on today. It's a friggin Wednesday! They never seem to show music videos anymore.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 i like sevendust, but all the wwf themes sound the same, i long for the days when the theme's were all unique, I loved HBK's entrance song because it was so different, same with DDP's Self High Five. Oh and yes MTV does suck, but I'm Canadian we've got MuchMusic and it plays music videos fairly often, wierd huh?
Guest Annoyed Grunt Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 Drowning Pool could just be there to perform whatever song the WWF is using as the Wrestlemania theme this year
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 Yeah the entrances will take forever. HHH will take 12 minutes to finish his entrance alone. The Undertaker will probably get a 10 minute entrance. Once Hogan is in the ring, it is mandatory that he stalls for at least 15 minutes before the match gets underway. Well, that's close to 40 minutes right there and that doesn't include Rock's entrance, which may or may not be 10 minutes long.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 I think that's what's happening JR didn't say they were performing any particukar wrestlers somg so it could the wrestlemania theme. At least we haven't had to listen to it as much as "My Way"
Guest JMac Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 Hogan 40 minutes. Can't see it. Austin-Hall twenty minutes tops. True the entrances will take 4ever but no more than last year. Hopefully the main event will get 30- 40 minutes. Discounting HHH's entrance which will take a good five minutes They'll fill it up but just like last year it'll be 30 minutes short of four hours.

At least we haven't had to listen to it as much as "My Way" Uhg. Don't remind me. Yeah.. this time I'm blah blah blah.. this time I'm blah blah blah.. gonna do things my way.. Great. Now that song will be stuck in my head. Just great.
Guest BaldGhoti Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 It's very simple! Two hours of recap videos!
Guest ])r. ])eath Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 It's very simple! Two hours of recap videos! Mix in some McMahon TV time, and Jim Ross spewing ignorance about BBQ Sauce, Oklahoma Sooners, Educated Feet, Hosses & Unorthodox Style, and you got RAW.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 At least there won't be any micheal cole "sickening thuds"
Guest art_vandelay Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 Drowning Pool could just be there to perform whatever song the WWF is using as the Wrestlemania theme this year Wouldn't it be great if they got Drowning Pool to play the old WrestleMania theme song? (Linda's theme)
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 I'd laugh my ass off, as long as that didn't mean linda was there.

(Linda's theme) You know, if that happens Linda will have to return to wrestling, so that we can be "blessed" to hear it every single Raw & Smackdown from now until the end of time. It would get old very quick, just like "Bodies" as Stephanie's theme song. I vote nay.

I'm not saying get Drowning Pool to make a new theme for Linda McMahon (LOL), I'm saying wouldn't it be funny if Drowning Pool played the early-90's WrestleMania theme song (which in Linda's current adopted theme) instead of "Tear Away" or whatever. You know, the one that goes, "Oooh Ooooh. WrestleMania. Alasisalie. Pump it up! Pump it up! Pump it up!"
Guest SmarkySmark Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 Doesn't Motorhead do HHH's song? Someone said Drowning Pool does it. I like both Saliva and Drowning Pool, but not during WrestleMania...this is like when WCW would have concerts on Nitro...it's a waste of good wrestling time.

Remember, Taz comes out to Cypress Hill.
