Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted December 15, 2002 A little early but what the hell. I'll start MLB-Minnesota vs New York. Jason Giambi earns his pinstripes. The Twins depleted by injuries are playing the Yankees on a Friday night in May. The Twins lead by 3 headed into the bottom of the 13th, bases loaded...and Giambi hits a walk off Grand Slam. MLB-Minnesota vs Oakland. September 1st. Miguel Tejada walk off HR wins it for the A's. MLB-Minnesota vs Anaheim. Game 3. Great pitcher duel. Troy Glaus hits the a solo HR 7th that turns out to be the game winner. MLB-Anaheim vs San Fran. Game 6. The Angels comeback to win and force a game 7 which they would win. College Football-Florida St. vs Miami. Miami gets a scare from their arch-rival. Betta's 43 yard FG with time expired goes Wide Left. College Hoops-Duke vs Indiana. Indiana upsets Duke in the Sweet Sixteen. College Hockey-Maine vs Minnesota. The Gophers score a goal with under 40 seconds to play to tie the game. Than they only non-Minnesotan on the roster scores the winning goal in OT to give the Gophers their first National championship since 1979. PGA Championship-The unknown Rich Beem holds off a late charge by Tiger Woods too win the PGA.

Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted December 16, 2002 MLB - World Series Game 6, the Giants are six outs away from the championship...and the Angels come back to win. College football - FSU/Miami Notre Dame/Michigan State - It looked like MSU won it when Charles Rogers made an improbable TD catch, then ND backup Phillip Dillingham throws an equally improbable pass to Arnaz Battle for the score. LSU/Kentucky - LSU's Devery Henderson hauls in the Hail Mary while Kentucky fans are celebrating at the other end of the field. Tennessee/Arkansas, 6 OT game West Virginia/Virginia Tech - VT is stopped on fourth and goal from the one, then Bryan Randall's pass is picked off in the end zone to seal the West Virginia upset in Blacksburg. NBA - Kings/Lakers, Game 4 (Horry's game winner as time ran out) and Game 7 OT. NFL - Bills/Vikings, Week 2 OT thriller, where both teams had shots in OT and missed field goals before Buffalo's Mike Hollis nails the game winner.
