Guest Downhome Report post Posted December 16, 2002 For years, all I heard was that the SLIGHTEST thing would put him in a wheelchair for life, and now that he's back, he's took quite a few "risks". So, I ask you... ...just how big of a risk do you feel it is? Was he, IS he, as hurt as we were all led to believe? Sincerely, ...Downhome...

Guest Downhome Report post Posted December 16, 2002 HBK would never exaggerate injury. Must...keep...straight...face... Har har, yes, I understand that, but how bad could it really be. Was he not around really for four years more so because of something else, or what is up with it? I'm just currious, that be all.
Guest jester Report post Posted December 16, 2002 Well, this is one of the situations where there is no real way to know, unless the worst happens and he really cripples himself. I think there is some truth to him being a bad bump away from irrepairable damage. But he did that one match with HHH and the world didn't end, and I guess he didn't feel as sore as he expected. So now he's going to push it. I honestly think he's going down a very dangerous road here.
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted December 16, 2002 I'm thinking that if HBK loses the World Title tonight, it will more than likely be his last match. Unless he returns for one final match at Wrestlemania 19. As for how injured he is, I don't think he's injured as bad as they say he is. I mean, he couldn't have went through the Elimination Chamber, and won the World Title, if he was really that injured. I know he's not 100%, though.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 16, 2002 and now that he's back, he's took quite a few "risks" I saw him topple over the top rope.
Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted December 16, 2002 He had surgery on his back in 1998, and people were questioning if he'd be back soon ater that. Thats the misconception - FIVE YEARS AGO he could have been seriously fucked up if he had continued to wrestle. He's fine now - just older, and constantly fearing that he'll reinjure it somehow. That's why his recent performances aren't up to snuff. Hell, if Steamboat decided to comeback tomorrow, do you think he could have a ***** match with Angle? Hell no. But it'd still be cool. So Shawn is basically a novelty act now. One that not too many people care about, but he's still a great performer in my book...

Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted December 16, 2002 I'd say he's at least as good as Austin is now. He'll never be the same again, but he still in maybe 75% of his full capacity.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2002 I don't know how good a condition Michaels is in...I just want to see him in this year's Royal Rumble for some reason. Him and Flair. If he comes back maybe Hogan as well. ...hehehehe...if Hart wasn't injured...and Austin came back...we might have been able to have a Royal Rumble with all the living Royal Rumble winners in it! Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted December 16, 2002 I would love to see HBK vs. Flair. If Flair wasn't so slow now and had the saggy pecs (which really makes it hard to take it seriously), I could buy him as a credible "World Champion" right now. And even then, he'd be a hundred times more over and his workrate still smokes HHH's. One of the reasons I hate Season mode in SYM--can't use Flair. I have to be content to make HHH tap out like a little bitch in Exhibition.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2002 I would love to see HBK vs. Flair. Get Royal Rumble 1992. Michaels JUST became the Heartbreak Kid...Flair was mostly in his prime...Perfect little short brawl there.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 16, 2002 Or get Invasion 92 where they wrestle one on one
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted December 16, 2002 I'm intrigued by seeing Hogan and Michaels tangle in the Rumble for some reason, as they're the only couple of people mentioned in this thread who have NEVER faced each other.

Heh...very true. Closest we got I think was in the Royal Rumble matches that both Hogan and Michaels were in. Then there's also KotR 1993, where Michaels called Hogan a Dinosaur.
