Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted December 16, 2002 Ya know, I will not argue the statement that "officials do not determine the outcome of sportsgames" for about 99.9% of the time, however in this situation when it is really TOUGH a lot of the time to judge if the ball was released or not as the clock read 0.00......would it really be a bad idea to adopt the college basketball rule of automatically viewing the replay on buzzbeater baskets? Hell, last year in the playoffs, Lakers hit one and during the replay it was CRYSTAL CLEAR that the clock read 0.00 as he was still holding the ball, and then Lakers go on to WIN by 1 point from a 3 pointer at the end.....so is there any reason this would be a bad idea? Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Report post Posted December 16, 2002 They already do that. The last few seconds of every quarter are now subject to review. The rule change was made over the past off-season.
