Guest NoCalMike Posted December 16, 2002 Report Posted December 16, 2002 Errmm, I just heard the music on the TV and looked over, but it was an ad for LOTR Two Towers. The music was changed up a bit to sound more like a "big production effect" type of sound, but there is NO DOUBT it was that score.....I hope they are paying out the ass for that.
Guest red_file Posted December 16, 2002 Report Posted December 16, 2002 Ebert covered this in his answerman column here. I don't understand what the big deal is, but then I rarely do.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted December 16, 2002 Report Posted December 16, 2002 Yeah, I caught that in the trailer I saw in the theater. Kronos Quartet does it.
Guest converge241 Posted December 16, 2002 Report Posted December 16, 2002 i believe the requiem version is slightly altered/remixed
Guest Gamengiri2002 Posted December 16, 2002 Report Posted December 16, 2002 correct me ifI'm mistaken but I believe the title of the composition is "Lux Aeterna" and it is composed by Clint Mansell.
Guest Nevermortal Posted December 16, 2002 Report Posted December 16, 2002 The Requiem Version is much simpler. The LOTR one is far more complex, with more instruments.
