Why did they take that out?

I was walking to work today, and I was for some reason recalling the game World Heros. Bear with me. In in, there was the bonus stage where you chipped a block to make a statue, in like 30 seconds. Now, I don't care about that. I don't care about tests of strength in MK. I don't even care about breaking barrels in Street fighter. I miss BEATING UP A CAR!!!

Why did they take it out!!! It was a staple at one point, and now it's gone!!!

So what other series have removed features that you would like to see returned?

Nintendo seems to have taken Mario and Luigi and replaced them with two guys who can't get by without common household utilities, like the vacum and hose. I miss the real Mario and Luigi I suppose.

The latest MK left out multiple fatalities for each char and there are no 'pit' fatalities included either.

No Andy Bogard in Capcom v SNK 2

No Assault mode in UT2K3

I'll agree with that. Plus no Billy Cane or Alex. Not even K' made the list.

Sonic didn't need all those fancy gadgets.

I remember back in NHL 94 for the SNES, when a goal from another game happened during the season, they would show it.
