Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 I'm predicting Jericho will go over HBK in their feud, which began on RAW this monday. And it will be due, in part, to the almighty BACKSTAGE POLITICS Why? 1. HBK has said he wants to start a Bible club in the WWE. He said that the guy most interested is... CHRIS JERICHO 2. Simalar to #1, HBK ALWAYS mentions Jericho as a guy who has "turned to Jesus". 3. HBK is probobly going to be forced by the WWE (ala Hogan 2k2) to put over some new talent. If he has his choice, why not choose his Bible buddy? 4. HBK knows that most people think that HHH (and by proxy, the Clique) have been accused of career assassination concerning Jericho. Maybe he's doing his buddy a favor and trying to discredit those accusations. Jericho may win a feud due to backstage politics. Believe it...........(Shatner-ian pause with Jack Palance's heavy breathing.) or not.

Guest BA_Baracus Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 About time. Everyone's already had their turns screwing him...
Guest BoboBrazil Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 No way Jericho is going over in this feud. HBK is planning on making a full time return to the ring, except for house shows and he just lost to HHH so he needs to get his heat back.

I gave some reasons that I thought were rational, does anyone have anything other than: "The Clique hates Jericho"? It's obvious Shawn is buddies with Jericho.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 I actually see Jericho going over HBK in this fued. It would be good for Jericho if he beat HBK also. It's like Jericho beating Hogan, but not quite. HBK could be called a legend, and what better way to push Jericho, then by having him go over HBK.
Guest BorneAgain Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 HBK is planning on making a full time return to the ring, except for house shows and he just lost to HHH so he needs to get his heat back. what heat?
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 Get riiiiiiid of Shawn. He can brawl and do a couple of highspots. ANYONE on the roster, especially Jericho, can do that and more. I don't want to see HBK anymore, blarr...
Guest Human Fly Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 I won't believe Jericho is winning this feud until he does win this feud. HBK hasn't put anyone over except HHH, will it change here? A lot of people were saying that HBK would put over RVD and he wasn't going to lose the title back to HHH and he was going to defend his title blah, blah, blah. He did defend his title once on tv (which was more then I expected) but none of that happened and I didn't think it would. I don't think this will happen either.
Guest Quik Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 Heh, and Satan will never, eeeever get my soul, again, jerky. Amen.
Guest cynicalprofit Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 good theory, Ill believe it when I see it though. Wonder why Kurt and Shawn havent shared their faiths
Guest caboose Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 Chris Jericho is actually the perfect opponent for Shawn where it concerns wrestling. Chris Jericho is currently RAW's equivalent of Kurt Angle. Jericho is single handedly carrying RAW with some relief help from BookerDust and Christian. But as it pertains to Chris Jericho the employee, Shawn Michaels is the last man on the planet you want to be facing. Considering that Shawn is being tipped to still be around at Wrestlemania, the WWE is gonna do all it can to keep him strong, so that means Jericho is jobbing. And no weird Bible conspiracy is gonna dictate otherwise.
Guest Aero Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 Jericho had better go over. When is WWE going to realize that he needs to go back into the main events? If it were up to me, I would have given Jericho the World Title in the Elimination Chamber and had him face HBK at Armageddon. (Oh, and HHH sitting at home). If you ask me, though, the HBK-Jericho feud depends on the outcome of the Tag Title match on RAW next week. If Bookdust retain, then Jericho can break out of his team and win against HBK. But, if Jericho & Christian win the belts, again, then he'll be in the exact place he was last week. Logic would put Jericho over for a number of reasons. Not only is it the right thing to put him over, but Jericho should win it via submission. The Walls are designed to hurt the back. I think Jericho should force him to submit and not release the hold, thus injuring HBK's back, paving the way for retirement and adding a something new for Jericho to brag about. But this is WWE logic, and I'm sure if anyone's going to retire HBK, it's going to be HHH.
Ultimo Dugas Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 Jericho is probably going to go over. I read that interview he did recently about wanting to get back into World title contention, and beating HBK would probably help that.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 I think you're all looking way too much into this. Jericho was used as "bitch-boy" again. Just like he was with Steiner a few weeks ago. When you need someone to make a Segment Great, Draw Heat, and be bitched out at the same time, you call Chris Jericho. As much as I would love to see a HBK Vs Y2J feud, The Royal Rumble is coming up and they need some Big names to be in it. Then again, Vince has killed every other Tradition in the last few years. Might as well kill the Rumble match since there is Two "rosters" now.

Then again, Vince has killed every other Tradition in the last few years. Might as well kill the Rumble match since there is Two "rosters" now. They don't have to have the blowoff at Rumble. They could start the feud slowly and have them both enter the Rumble. Jericho and Michaels eliminate each other and the fued is off and running from there. They could put off the feud until Mania or have them in a tag match at NWO to set-up the singles bout for Mania. The only question I have about the feud is whether or not Michaels can hold up his end of the bargain when it comes to interviews. Shawn Michaels got his world title run. He said in interviews he wanted to stick around and help the younger talent. Well, he's got another chance to prove he really has changed by selling for Jericho like he sold for Triple H and then putting him over clean. I'm not holding my breath but at least there are some small glimmers of hope for RAW again. Until they dash them next week.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 I don't think you have to worry about Shawn selling and bumping for anybody. He's always done that no matter how much dead weight he was wrestling. Jobbing is a whole other subject. I just don't see a feud happening. If there was, then why didn't Shawn run down and help Booker & Goldust? They could have had Jericho & Christian beat down them and Shawn make the save. Once again, Jericho was Bitch-Boy for the night. Don't get your Hopes up.

But I don't think this is the same as the interview with Steiner. Steiner was going back and forth between RAW and Smackdown at that point getting involved with different characters. Michaels is on RAW and he's sticking around for now. He's not going to feud with Triple H anymore so he has to have something to do and Jericho is the next heel on the totem pole. The announcers also kept bringing up Michaels when Jericho was wrestling Booker and Jericho started ranting about Michaels before the match. It's also pretty obvious that Bookdust will retain the titles next week so Jericho will need a new program as well. And Jericho has mentioned a desire to get back into singles competition. Everything certainly seems to be in place for the Jericho/Michaels feud to be more than a one segment thing.
Guest humongous2002 Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 HBK's Bible Club?????????BWAHHHAHHHAHHHA
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 HBK's Bible Club?????????BWAHHHAHHHAHHHA I know, I envisioned a secret handshake, and fort, and codewords. Just like The Little Rascals! Oh, and if you were twice as high as RVD, wouldn't it be 8:40, not 8:20? Nevermind.

Jericho cant do the work of six men Jericho doesnt have any heat left for Micheals to kill/enhance
Guest ReyReyRox00 Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 Jericho doesnt have any heat left for Micheals to kill/enhance Say what??? Jericho gets more consistent heat than just about anybody. He's like magic heat boy--he didn't win a PPV match for 6 months, was consistently jobbed out, tapped cleanly to Rick Flair--who's been regularly jobbed out both before and after that match, and lost to Rico of all people--and also jobbed to rookie Cena, which to my recollection is the kid's only televised win on SD! or PPV. And yet the fans still react more to him than to almost everone else. I'd say only RVD, Lesnar, Angle, and maybe Booker are on his level in terms of consistently drawing heat.
