Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted December 19, 2002 Favorite song. God, hard to choose. I'll go with A Bit of Finger/Warning/Sleeping Village, although Hand of Doom and the s/t make strong cases. Fav. Album, the self-titled. That one's easy for me, considering that it's the single greatest album I've ever heard. Worst song. Hmm..I'm not as familiar with the post-Ozzy era because I've fucking hated pretty much everything I've heard from it. Well, there's a couple Dio songs I tolerate, but the worst is definitely one of the Tony Martin tracks. God he sucks/sucked (apparently). Worst album, easily TYR. Guest gangsteruwa Report post Posted December 19, 2002 Favorite Album: Paranoid Favorite Song: Electric Funeral Least Favorite Album: Anything post Ozzy. Not because I'm an Ozzy worshipper, I just don't like any of the other singers.

Guest TheyCallMeMark Report post Posted December 20, 2002 My favourite song is the one with alot of drum soloing in it. It might have been an instrumental, but Bill Ward's whacking is just keen.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted December 20, 2002 Chances are the track you're thinking of is Rat Salad, off of Paranoid.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted December 20, 2002 I'm going to restrict myself to Ozzy-era. Best Song: Under the Sun/Every Day Comes and Goes Best Album: Vol. 4 (one of the top 5 rock albums of all time) Worst Song: Children of the Grave (this song blows, I don't know how it became one of their "classics") Worst Album: Sabotage Sabotage isn't a bad album, it's just the worst one Ozzy worked on. Any of the post-Ozzy stuff is worse, as are many of the songs.
Guest pochorenella Report post Posted December 20, 2002 Favorite album: Paranoid Favorite song: Paranoid, with Iron Man close behind. Call me crazy, but I just didn't like Ozzy's Paranoid version with Randy Rhoads playing. Didn't sound the same to me.
Guest red_file Report post Posted December 20, 2002 Fav. Album: Black Sabbath ("Black Sabbath," "The Wizard," "NIB," and "Sleeping Village," they never got better than this, which is not to say that their later stuff wasn't good, just that they hit their peak with their debut) Fav. Song: Either "The Wizard" or "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath." I haven't really heard much of the post-Ozzy Sabbath work, so I can't offer an educated opinion on their worst stuff, as what little I've heard of it didn't exactly thrill me. Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted December 20, 2002 They just lost all of their chemistry after Ozzy left the band. Geezer did a lot of the lyrics early on, and I imagine he quit doing that so much when they started getting the girly screamers in the band. The riffs just weren't as good, either. A few of the Dio tracks are tolerable, but all of the Tony Martin stuff is REALLY bad. I'm not familiar with anything else.
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted December 20, 2002 I've always been partial to Paranoid, because it's the album that got me into Sabbath (and metal in general, for that matter). As far as songs go, it's a tough call. Depends on mood, really (By which I mean whether or not I'm stoned) but usually Iron Man. I only have one post-Ozzy CD, Heaven and Hell. I found it used for 10 bucks somewhere, and I really like the title track, so I figured I may as well pick it up. Not terrible, but not really up to snuff, for the most part.
