Guest converge241 Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 "I'll be honest," Taylor told Cleveland Scene in an article published on Dec. 11. "There's a lot of negativity surrounding SLIPKNOT. And a lot of it, we did to ourselves. We really kind of kicked our own asses, in a way. I am totally ready to go and do another SLIPKNOT album, but I'm not going to do it until [the STONE SOUR] album plays itself out. If you're out there selling 50,000 albums a week, and you have the opportunity to do a huge fuckin' tour with a couple of bands that kick ass, then why wouldn't you? The kids are gonna be there, and they're gonna want the album no matter what. So why not take the time and set up something else, and do both? There really hasn't been any negativity towards [sTONE SOUR] from [the rest of SLIPKNOT]. Paul's really into it, Chris is really into it, and those guys have come to the shows and hung out and shit, but it's one of those things where we'll see what happens." In the same interview, Taylor also once again repeated his belief that SLIPKNOT's days are numbered while STONE SOUR is likely to continue to prosper. "STONE SOUR's got a little more longevity than SLIPKNOT does, just because it's more than the music with SLIPKNOT," Taylor said. "There's a whole different mentality there. And if you overstay your welcome, it's gonna turn on itself." what an idiot..this is the same guy who said stuf about not caring about sales..destroy everyhting blah blah blah. If IOWA was good and sold a ton he would never have done the Sour stuff.
Guest JangoFett4Hire Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 I would care about this, but Corey said "You don't need to bother..."
Guest Insanityman Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 He was still one of the coolest guys I've ever met... but yeah it does seem hypocritial.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Guest Kibagami Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 Slipknot might be going away? The human sacrifices worked! K.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 Somewhere, little kids in indonesia that have been sewing hoodies for the past four years will be set free.
Guest cartman Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 Haha! In MY opinion Stone Sour is better than Shitnot anyways..good deal
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 Somewhere, little kids in indonesia that have been sewing hoodies for the past four years will be set free. How true, how true. And now, little kids in SINGAPORE~! will be making Stone Sour hoodies...DAMMIT!
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 I saw the gayest slipknot shirt the other day, and not just because it had slipknot on it. It had some pseudo-creepy jack in the box on it with hoses coming out of its head and a really gay smile on its face. Basically, the shirt looked like what the offspring of an old Marilyn Manson shirt and an ICP shirt would look like.
Guest Jack Tunney Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 And if Slipknot are done, maybe this will help put Hot Topic out of buissiness.
Guest converge241 Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 "And if Slipknot are done, maybe this will help put Hot Topic out of buissiness. " cool the jerk with the mohawk tattered clothes and loud music will be unemployed now? what must parents go through to go in those stores and get the kiddies gift certificates or even worse a shopping list *SIGH*
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted December 22, 2002 Report Posted December 22, 2002 Get up! Everybody's moving to their feet. Get down! Everybody's gonna leave their seats... Sorry, I need to rejoice...
Guest Incandenza Posted December 22, 2002 Report Posted December 22, 2002 Hot Topic won't go out of business. It still has a sizable punk and emo fanbase.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted December 22, 2002 Report Posted December 22, 2002 Not to mention quasi-gothic strippers.
Paul Stanley Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 Get up! Everybody's moving to their feet. Get down! Everybody's gonna leave their seats... Sorry, I need to rejoice... Right on brother. You gotta lose ya mind in Detroit, Rock City
Guest Vyce Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 Slipknot sucks. Stone Sour's no great shakes either. But Stone Sour doesn't make me want to destroy my radio. Winner by default!
