Hulkamania 4 Life!

Real American was the best theme music ever, no matter who says it aint. The lyrics are chatchy and his gimmick fit in great with it.

"When it comes crushing down and it hurts inside.....

I gotta be a man, it dont help to hide.

I have somethin deep inside of me,

CCourage is the thing that keeps us free..

I am a Real American

Fight for the rights of every man

I am a Real American

fight for whats right, Fight for you life!

(next line i forgot)

And I dont take troublefor very long

When you hurt my freinds

then you hurt my pride

I gotta be a man, I cant tell you why!

I am a Real american

Fight for the rights of every man

I am a Real american

fight for whats right, fight for your life!!

(REPEAT)

Real American is great, but it bows down to Demolition!

Those lyrics reminded me of a Pro Wrestling Illustrated parody version, had a line like "fight for the rights of vince mcmahon"

any old scholl marks remember or have those lyrics?

I liked them all. I have to go with Demolition, The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers, Mr. Perfect, Ted DiBiase & Warrior's.

I said Demolition, there music was awesome!!!

Thanks.

The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers had the best theme music. Slick's is probably my second favourite. Don Muraco's theme sucked (It repeated itself every 6 seconds or so). Mr. Perfect's theme is a ripoff of Ferrante & Teicher's "Exodus" and is nothing special.

The American Dream gets no love.

He's an American Dream

He's just a common man

working hard with his hands etc...

I voted for the Hulkster, but I think the Mountie deserves an honorable mention.

I'm the Mountie

I'm Handsome, I'm Brave, I'm Strong

I'm the Mountie, and I enforce the Law!

You can try to run

and you can try and hide,

but the Mounite Always gets his man!!!!!!!!

I forget most of the good ones, but since I could only say 10, i had to limit my selection.

I was taking a shower this morning and for a reason I don't know, Dusty Rhodes WWF music came in to my head all of a sudden.  The whole entire song going through my mind.

That song kick seroius ass. Whenever I think of that song, I remember Dusty in his polka dot outfit, so I try not to think about it often.

Where's Slick's "Jive Soul Bro" in this vote? That song rules!

HOW CAN YOU FORGET RICK RUDE'S "SIMPLY RAVISHING!!!"  His whole entrance was classic.  Walking down the aisle with his robe.  Telling the sound people to "cut the music".  Then that he will show everyone what a real man looks like.  Classic heel move!!

I don't have the magazine on me anymore, but I actually think I do remember most of the lyrics.  Keep in mind that this probably isn't word-for-word, but you gotta respect me for keeping much of this in my head for 15 years:

When it comes crashing down and it hurts inside,

I take my title belt and hide

If you hurt my head, then you'll hurt my pride,

I'll roll out of the ring and get disqualified,

I am a fake world champion

Fight for the rights of Vince McMahon,

I am a fake world champion

Fight for what's right, fight for your life!

I'm feeling nothing about right and wrong

Cause I know Randy Savage is just too strong

I got nothing deep inside of me

And Vince McMahon's the thing that keeps me free,

I am a fake world champion

Fight for the rights of Vince McMahon,

I am a fake world champion

Fight for what's right, fight for your life!

Jive Soul Bro is easily the greatest.

Watching Old Wrestling Challenge in the UK now (and whilst I'm at work as well- sweet!).  We're just pre-Survivor Series 87, which is just as the Piledriver album came out.  They've been showing all the vids from the album (this week we got "If you only knew", which is pretty cool).  Last week they showed the whole of Jive Soul Bro.  It might have been the highlight of my week.  Awesome x3!!!

I gotta go for the Dream's song as well. It has a good beat and is easy to move your thumbs to.

Erm- apologies.  It was actually Stand Back they showed this week (to a montage of Andre stuff, which was quite strange for 87 WWF.  There was loads of stuff of him as a face).

Aargh!!! They're now showing "If I Only Knew" complete with Ted Dibiase footage.  Whatever way you look at it, another good week for UK 80s WWF music smarks like myself!!!

Thank you JMFabiano524

I do give you credit

thats too funny.

I have too throw out props for "girls in cars" too , especially cause it had a storyline around it.

'Jive Soul Bro' was horrible.

Demolition's theme rocked but in terms of old school goodness, even though this is a WWF topic, NOTHING beats the Road Warriors coming to the ring to 'Iron Man'

They just looked so damn intimidating!

I chose Hogan's. It just fits the whole wwf image of the 80's. Anyways, Demolition gets a lot of props for me. I also liked Warrior's (I think it was more the "running madman" stuff he did that got me. I also liked Slick's. Come on that video he had was hilarious. I also like RIC FLAIR'S wwf theme in 91 and 92 for some reason. You know which song I use to love which wasn't really a wwf theme. That "best friends" or something song. They played it right before the Meg-Powers broke up and also when Piper faced Orton in 1986 on SNME.

I always liked Ricky Steamboats music from the 80's

All of the ones listed above were good, but I don't remember which one was Don Muraco's. Hopefully, all of these will be collected in that WWF: Anthology CD.

Don Muraco's music was "Jesus Christ, Superstar" from the Broadway show of the same name. He was being managed by "Superstar" Billy Graham at the time.

Steve Austin used it during his stay in ECW, for a little while, at any rate.
