GREATEST GAME TRADE EVER

Recommended Posts

Guest razazteca

Today I just traded my Glacier Game Boy Advance for a Dreamcast at Electronic Boutique in the mall. The GBA has been pissing me off as of late due to the light source problem, no matter what light add-on I bought it never anything but put a glare to piss me off more. I had only a few games for it being Pac-Man Collection, Mario Kart, Dragon Warrior I&II, and the weak ass Carmageddon GBC.

GBA + Madcatz magnifier light + Carmageddon = Dreamcast + Crazy Taxi

for the low low price of $12.99

I am happy with the trade because I already had 10 games and 3 VMU which I had sitting in the corner from when I played them at friends houses. I now have some of the greatest fighting games ever to catch up on from SNK, UFC, Capcom, Sega.

Now the GBA games will just sit in the corner that the Sega games use to.....well until the new backlit Gamecube GBA version 2 thingy comes out.

All Handheld Systems must me Back Lit Damn It

Make sure you track down Fatal Fury Mark of the wolves, I had a hard time finding it but it simply rocks.

Congratulations on obtaining one of the best systems ever created. By the way, if you're not against it, you can acquire practically any out of print DC game via mIRC.

If you want some Dreamcast games, especially the wrestling import games, then let me know and I'll meet you on Dirrect Connect so we can get them to you. I have a lot of other DC games also for you to get if you want, just let me know!

well as for getting games from the net that is not an option because the ISO are too big for my Dial Up of Doom.

Trade was surprising good

$40 for GBA

$4 for a game that I never played

the Dreamcast only cost me $12 cash

I bought the Dreamcast for the Emu possiblities, SNES, Nes, Genesis, GBA can be all emulated on DC. And I am a big mark for fighting games by SNK which I have 3 of them and both KOF 99 Dream Match & Evolution games! The only games that I own which is not a fighting game is Crazy Taxi, Giga Wing, Smack Pack.

I was always a mark for Sega too bad they went under.

In case you didn't already know, dcemulation.com is your one-stop hookup for all your emulation needs. I love reliving all these old games and playing so many I have never experienced. I'm playing Super Metroid for the first time on DreamSNES and loving it. I may actually start collecting old NES and SNES carts though, just for the purpose of having them. I usually would feel no need to pay for things I can obtain for free (like DC games) but I'm on a nostalgia kick and most of the carts are cheap anyway, so whatever. One last thing... I believe they had a lot of SNK agmes for Neo-Geo right? If so, you may enjoy the Neo-Geo emulator on DC emulation.

sweet, I'm going to try that Neo-Geo emulator. MAME/NeoRage are fine, but it's more fun to play console games with an actual gamepad than a keyboard.

Neo-Geo on Dreamcast? that WOULD THE GREATEST EMULATION EVER

I love the Dreamcast, for its Emulation ablities.......I play with a Playstation controller :) Slot A is my regular DC controller with VMU but Slot B has my PS2 adapter with duel Shock controller, no jump pack needed as it has built in vibrator :firedevil:

I'm sorry. I though www.dcemulation.com had a Neo-Geo emulator, but the only one they have is for the Neo-Geo Pocket Color.

WHAT THE HELL?

You got ripped off.

I've seen dreamcasts lying around not selling for $29.99...

I woulda given ya 40 for the GBA..so I could get Metroid Fusion..and play the original Metroid..

While were on the trading topic, I wonder how much I could get for 3 Gamecube Controllers (official), Tony Hawk 3 and a Memory Card 59 (official).Im willing to bet I'd be better off going on Ebay than taking it to EB at the mall..especially since there might be a sharper demand after christmas for cheap games/controllers and memory cards.

I do suggest taking it to eBay, if you can't pawn it off to your friends who have a Cube.

I'm also wondering why you're selling these items...are these just items you have a few of, or are you contemplating a console switch?

Well. I dont play TH3 anymore, and I am getting 2 WaveBirds for christmas somehow (giving me a grand total of 6 controllers..) and since you can only hook up 4, Im willing to part with at least 2 of them. 3 would leave me with 3, but it would give someone who just got a cube 4, which would be more enticing deal. And I have 3 memory cards, 2 of which are the 59 and 1 251, so Im willing to part with one of the mem card 59's..

And no, Im not contemplating a console switch.

that is your opinion, to me one system for another system for a small amount of $ is a fair trade to me, besides living 150 miles from any place that speaks ENGLISH regularly, it is hard not to over pay for certain things.

the GBA was a mere toy that was not fun to play if the sun was not out and every light add-on never solved the problem so I got rid of it.

So I give Nintendo a big FU for not making a quality product and making useless expensive hardware as add-ons for the GBA, how can I use the TV add-on if I can never have enough light? And the E-Reader Card is completlely useless right now as I could of played NES games with a flash card at a cheaper price, and Pokemon will not be out until March and I have not seen any Yu-Gi-Oh cards for it as of yet.

Besides the Dreamcast is the Ultimate Emulation Console! Near perfect emulation of NES and SNES :) Now if I can only figure out how to switch from one game to another without having to restart!

I live in the middle of nowhere, prices of everything is expensive compared to the big cities or even college towns. And I do not trust E-Bay or websites as an option for buying stuff.

I play all my GBA games thru emulators now, this is the only system where the emulation is better than the real thing.

Oh and if you think this was a rip-off what do you think about Soul Caliber for Shenmue? Well now I need a Game Doctor  damn scratches

Uh..unless you own a laptop, Emulation of a GBA is < than a GBA for one very simple reason.
